Would you notice if someone you love was skipping meals?
"I love my mum and when I notice she's not eating it is hard."
Tyler's mum cares for his nan. He and his sister both work part-time, but there's still never enough food in the house, and when Tyler asks his mum if she's eaten, she says she's not hungry. He thinks she's going without, so they don't have to.
Tyler's family is one of the 20% of households across the country going through the same thing. He wrote a letter to his neighbours for our Message in a Bottle campaign, asking them to stand with him. Will you?

Hundreds of people across the country opened their front door this morning to find a milk bottle on the step, with a letter from a neighbour inside.
Each one is from someone who knows what it's like to struggle to afford food, asking: will you stand with me?
17.6 million people across the country can't reliably afford food. Some of them could live on your street.
Stand with them by signing our petition calling on the Prime Minister to protect the right to food in law: amn.st/6013BHnUYR
New figures show 17.6m of us can't reliably afford food, including 4.6m children.
That's 3.5m more people than in 2024.
That could be your neighbour, your colleague, or the parent you wave to at pick-up.

A fantastic launch of the #RightToFoodCommission in Parliament, bringing together commissioners, parliamentarians, trade unions, campaigners and the communities at the heart of this fight.
It has been one of the honours of my life to listen to communities across the country and work alongside people determined to end the scourge of hunger.
In one of the richest countries in the world, nobody should be worried about where their next meal is coming from.
Now we need Government action.
A Right to Food enshrined in law, ensuring everyone can access affordable, nutritious food with dignity.
Our communities cannot carry on paying the price for political decisions that drive poverty and food insecurity.
Hunger is a political choice. Together, we must demand a different future.

We have the RECEIPTS 🧾 and we printed a very big one.
It lists everything the right to food should mean, from affordable food to reliable access.
For World Food Day we took it to Parliament with @IanByrneMP who said “this is what the UK desperately needs.”

NEW: Home Office stats released today reveal that arrests for “terrorist-related activity” in the year ending June 2026 were up 1,553% on last year and 94% of the arrests (3,630 of 3,867) were linked to showing support for Palestine Action.
We're being told to stock up on food this winter, but currently 1 in 5 people across the UK can't afford enough to eat as it is.
Help us hit 10,000 signatures before we take our petition to No.10 next week and demand the right to food in UK law 👇🏾

Three years after the deadly Hamas-led attacks of 7 October and the start of Israel’s brutal military assault on Gaza, Palestinian civilians continue to endure catastrophic suffering amid Israel's ongoing genocide.
Justice for victims of all crimes in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory remains out of reach.
The world must stop turning its back on humanity.
States must act now to end the genocide, halt arms transfers, dismantle Israel’s system of apartheid and unlawful occupation, and support justice for all victims.

“They shall not pass.”
90 years ago today, as antisemitism and fascism were on the rise throughout Europe, Oswald Mosley’s racist British Union of Fascists planned a provocative march through the Jewish community of East London. But the people of London met the call “all out against fascism” - and the largest anti-fascist mobilisation in British history took place in what became known as the Battle of Cable Street. Mosley’s fascists were stopped from marching through our streets.
From Cable Street in London, Holbeck Moor in Leeds and Belle Vue in Manchester, people came together throughout the 1930s to stop fascism. And despite support from some in the media with headlines like “Hurrah for the Blackshirts!” - people organised and beat the British Union of Fascists on the streets and at the ballot box. They never won a seat in Parliament.
Today, when the organised far-right are once again on the rise throughout Europe and racial violence in the UK is escalating, we remember this: together, we can beat fascism.
Over 23,000 of you have signed our No Palantir in the NHS petition, smashing our 10,000 target 🎉 Let's keep that momentum going!
On Thursday night, hundreds of patients, health workers and campaigners rallied outside Palantir's London HQ, despite a small group of counter-protesters.
Our message hasn't changed: a company linked to Israel's genocide in Gaza has no place in our NHS. We'll keep going until the government ends Palantir's contract.
Huge thanks to our speakers Dr Omar Abdel-Mannan, Dr James Smith and Shireen Asaw, Rhiannon Mihranian Osborne, and to everyone who stood with us ✊

Patients, health workers and communities across the country are clear: we want Palantir OUT of our NHS.
Last night, hundreds of us showed up outside Palantir’s London HQ to deliver that message. We will keep campaigning until we win!

The Foreign Secretary says 'it was never anyone’s intent to criminalise elderly people, vicars and grannies', but what did the Government think would happen when they decided to use DRACONIAN TERRORISM POWERS to PUNISH PROTESTERS?
Protest gives us POWER to make our leaders listen. It’s ESSENTIAL for a functioning society.
