🇮🇳 JUST IN: BharatGen is targeting a 1 trillion-parameter AI model by March 2027, backed by the IndiaAI Mission, 2,400 GPUs, and one of India's largest academic AI collaborations. But perhaps its most ambitious goal isn't scale. It's affordability. BharatGen says its models already cost around ₹5 per million tokens, compared to roughly ₹13 for DeepSeek V4 Flash. If India wants AI to reach every developer, startup, business, and citizen, the race isn't just about building the biggest model. It's about building one everyone can afford. Anthropic has filed for an IPO, with the Claude AI maker reporting $16.3 billion in revenue in the first half of 2026, up from $1.16 billion a year earlier. The company plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol ANT, potentially becoming the first frontier AI lab to go public. The filing reveals the scale of Anthropic’s business, including an $80.7 billion net loss, largely driven by non-cash accounting adjustments, and more than 11,900 enterprise customers generating at least $100,000 in annual revenue. Its operating loss stood at $693 million for the first half of 2026. Anthropic has yet to announce its IPO price range, share count or final offering size. The filing will put the company’s financial performance, AI infrastructure spending and growth prospects under close scrutiny as it competes with OpenAI and other major AI developers. #Anthropic #ClaudeAI #IPO #ArtificialIntelligence #TechNews [Anthropic IPO filing October 2026, Anthropic Nasdaq listing under ticker ANT, Claude AI revenue and financial results 2026, Anthropic public offering and IPO valuation, frontier AI lab stock market debut]

Financial services is where India’s AI ambitions meet their hardest constraints: regulation, data residency, auditability, and zero tolerance for downtime. What actually reaches production depends on how well teams solve for all four. AIM, in partnership with Neysa, is hosting the next edition of the AIM Innovator Series to bring together the people building AI inside India’s banks, payment networks, and wealth tech. The session will examine what is actually moving to production across fraud detection, document AI and KYC, credit and risk scoring, and AI-led wealth management. The conversation will cover why sovereignty is now a board-level question in BFSI, how teams keep models governed and auditable, and what separates a pilot that ships from one that stalls in compliance review. AIM Research has launched the Top Sovereign Cloud Infrastructure Providers in India PeMa Quadrant 2026, assessing 13 providers on Market Penetration and Technology Maturity as the regulatory landscape reshapes how Indian enterprises evaluate cloud. For a decade, cloud decisions rested on price, features and proximity. The DPDP Act, RBI localisation rules, SEBI and IRDAI cloud frameworks, MeitY empanelment and the IndiaAI Mission have changed what the decision rests on, and sovereign cloud is the commercial answer. The study treats sovereignty as broader than keeping workloads inside national borders, reading it across where data, backups, logs and telemetry actually reside, who operates the environment and holds privileged access, which legal system governs the contracting entity, where the control plane runs and who holds the encryption keys. The control plane carries the most weight, because software that configures, monitors and can suspend an environment can be operated from outside the country even when every server sits inside it. Demand is arriving along two lines, with government bodies and regulated enterprises evaluating cloud as part of their risk and control architecture, while AI-led buyers start from GPU availability, price per GPU-hour and deployment speed. The evidence both are looking for is already running across national and citizen-scale platforms, regulated production workloads in banking and insurance, air-gapped environments and in-country disaster recovery across separate seismic zones. Russian bank Sber (@sberbank) has launched GigaChat 3.5 Reasoning, a flagship model that can break complex problems into steps, use tools, and check its own work. Sber says it is the only Russian open-source model with a reasoning mode, free under the MIT licence. According to the company, its IFBench score rose from 44 to 77, while Live Code Bench v6 went from 56 to 85. It uses an average of 37% fewer reasoning tokens than DeepSeek V4 Flash Preview in maths. Anton Frolov, Senior Vice President and Head of GenAI Development at Sberbank, said, "This is a vital step toward AI that can independently build a path to a result, act proactively, and interact with other services." AIM Research and @FDE_Academy's latest report on India’s Forward Deployed Engineer talent market highlights a sharp hiring mismatch. Employer demand for field-deployed AI builders stands at 95%, while available talent is just 45%, creating a 50-percentage-point gap, the widest role-level shortage identified in the study. The report says employers are struggling to find professionals who combine deep technical expertise with strong customer and stakeholder capabilities. It also notes continued retention pressure from remote opportunities, start-up premiums and entrepreneurial alternatives as organisations compete for production-ready AI deployment talent across India right now. Enterprises are deploying AI agents at scale, but many are discovering that having data and reasoning capabilities is not the same as understanding the organisation that those agents are supposed to serve. Mastech points out that the next phase of enterprise AI is about building the knowledge foundation that allows these agents to understand how a business actually works, what exceptions to apply, and the institutional logic behind the decision-making. "In conversations with enterprise leaders across industries, a consistent pattern shows up: AI investment is scaling faster than the value it returns. What gets requested is usually an agent deployment. What is needed is a “Knowledge Enterprise," says Debasis Satpathy, Chief Growth Officer at Mastech. Shipra Sharma, Chief AI and Solutions Officer at Mastech, added that "even the most commoditised model cannot operate in a vacuum. It has to work on top of an enterprise's own foundation to deliver real value," while Nirav Patel, President and CEO, described that foundation as a "knowledge fabric" containing the tacit knowledge, judgement and reasons behind decisions that "in the agentic era, protecting what makes an enterprise indispensable has never mattered more." The AI conversation has moved well beyond prompt engineering, and Nirav Patel, President and CEO of Mastech, has a precise name for where it is heading: 'harness engineering'. If you're wondering, guardrails and controls determine whether you can trust AI systems operating autonomously in sensitive enterprise environments. In the latest episode of Simulated Reality, our host Sudhi Sachdev sat down with Nirav to trace the full evolution from prompt engineering to context engineering to harness engineering, and what that progression demands from enterprises moving AI out of the lab and into regulated, high-stakes environments like banking and health sciences.
