Donald Trump has spent at least $45 BILLION on his Iran war.
$30 billion could've extended ACA tax credits for a year and kept premiums from skyrocketing.
$13 billion could've paid for Head Start for a year.
AND we'd still have money left over.

A husband and wife with four kids will spend $3-4,000 and more per month on medical insurance now, and it buys nothing but the right to pay more when you actually use it. This is an outrage. More outrageous, there is hardly any political talk about this fixing this problem even though the fix is readily at hand. Unsustainable.

ICE just locked up the man who feeds 8,000 Bronx neighbors a month, at his own immigration hearing. Now his food pantry is shut.🤬
Aleksander Nilaj, an Albanian immigrant who founded the Open Hand food pantry in the Bronx in 2012, showed up for his immigration hearing at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan. ICE agents detained him instead. He is now held at Delaney Hall, a detention center in Newark, New Jersey. bit.ly/4i8Uqse

In 2020, Tommy Tuberville promised to donate “every dime” of his $174,000 Senate salary to Alabama veterans and their families. A June investigation found no evidence he followed through, a pledge now worth roughly $1 million.
Tuesday night, after a reporter asked about it, Tuberville told staff to remove him. Then he called the media “socialists” and “communists.”
The MAGA senator had a reporter thrown out of a campaign dinner after being confronted with an embarrassing question.

“That was interesting. I got to see what the NBA’s like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul-baiting, lot of crying to the ref. Interesting first game for me, for sure.”

Good read. Almost all of this coverage is now populated in websites like On3, Rivals, 247, Prep Hoops, etc. Which is fine BUT union jobs in writing are dying with the retirees. Those are not coming back-lifers in the industry working JUST in sports journalism are hard to find.
