COLLON | COMMS PERMANENTLY CLOSED

I know that I’ve been late with many projects and have missed some commissions. That’s why I stopped accepting new work a long time ago and have been clearing my queue, while also creating adoptables to cover my household’s essential expenses. However, this is not a commission that I delayed or neglected. Customer commissioned a Surprise Me design with the keywords. (It’s similar to the work many other clients have commissioned from me: it’s completed quickly, but it isn’t highly detailed or polished.) I clearly stated that this type of commission would not be sent for approval or revisions. I completed and delivered the work within the agreed timeframe, and after sending the files to them successfully, I believed the commission was finished. After that, they contacted me and said that they were unhappy with the design and wanted a refund. I explained that I could not issue a refund, so I asked for permission to resell the design at a lower price and offered to create a new design for them instead. However, after I sent them the sketch, they are disappeared. That was why I messaged them last night to remind them about the commission they had ordered and to ask them to collect all their requested changes and send them at once. If they request revisions over several separate messages with separate times, it will take even more time. I never said that I would charge them extra or that they were not allowed to request further revisions. I already told them that revisions were unlimited. Wouldn’t they prefer to receive the finished work sooner? They said that they were very busy and didn’t have time to check the work because they had school and work. So I asked: if you are too busy to check the commission, why did you commission it in the first place? I only said that requesting too many rounds of revisions would make the process take longer. If they have not confirmed the design yet, then they can still request revisions. But if I have not said that the work is finished, and customer then say, “I would like to change…,” am I expected to make those changes for them even though I have already completed the work? We are already struggling enough as it is, and we don’t even have anything to eat. I genuinely don’t have the time or energy to argue about this right now because we are currently in an extremely difficult situation due to the severe flooding in Thailand, including in our area. Our car broke down in the floodwater, delivery services are unavailable, and nearby shops have already run out of supplies. The nearest open restaurant is too far for us to reach on foot. We currently have no food, drinking water, or medication.

With the current situation between the United States and Iran, people in my country are rushing to stockpile food, and supermarket shelves are being emptied. But honestly, I’m not sure whether I should be stockpiling food too.

Starting the first day of the month with a broken air conditioner (again) and my dog chewing on the Apple Pencil I use for work.
