Gateshead MP and APPG Chair @IanMearnsMP is opening proceedings at today’s APPG for Housing in the North meeting.
The APPG is now hearing from @NHC chief executive @THarrisonNHC on the priorities for housing in the North in a crucial year for the region.
Today @APPGHousing is back in Parliament for a discussion on the state of housing in the North.
The APPG will hear Derek Long, author of the Northern Housing Monitor, discussing the challenges and opportunities for Northern constituencies as evidenced by data from the Monitor.
The group will also hear @tomjsimcock detailing new research from @HuddersfieldUni, @NationwideFdtn & @nhc which highlights the lived experiences of northerners dealing with the cost of living crisis while living in poor quality housing.

Tracy Harrison, Chief Executive of the APPG's Secretariat @NHC, is now setting the scene for this APPG session, detailing the key priorities for levelling up housing and communities in the North.
