On 2 September we updated our terms. The main change: a $1/month inactivity fee on custodial balances that have had no activity for 12 consecutive months.
How it works: blink.sv/blog/the-inactivity…
Why: dormant custodial accounts cost money to carry — ledger, compliance, support, the claims process that lets anyone recover a balance. The fee moves a small part of that cost onto the dormant account. An account that returns pays nothing.
We notified the first affected accounts on 3 September, before the first charge on 6 October. Full details, including the terms (section 9.2), in the post linked above.
