“Reacher is a silverback gorilla, and Neagley is a mountain lion.” A new era for Reacher is about to begin, and Maria Sten is leading the charge. The franchise’s first spin-off, Neagley, premieres today, the same day that Reacher Season 4 concludes, putting Sten in the spotlight as the lead of her own action-packed series. Alan Ritchson, meanwhile, finds himself in the unique position of playing her sidekick for a change, but it’s a role he’s more than happy to embrace. In the latest Collider Signature Profile, Ritchson and Sten sit down with TV Editor Carly Lane to talk about the evolution of Reacher, raising the bar for Season 4’s action, bringing Neagley to life, and the partnership they’ve built both in front of and behind the camera. Sten has already been a fan-favorite throughout Reacher’s first three seasons, but Neagley is finally giving her a world of her own. While the spin-off may be Reacher’s “little sister,” Sten is determined to forge her own path, and Ritchson will be there to support her every step of the way.
