Aston Villa in crisis?
I don't see it, even after the 4-0 defeat to Brighton and the departure of over half of their XI (almost all of which are key players).
They have replaced aging players with players with top potential + players entering their prime whilst breaking even or potentially even making profit in the market.
They have also recruited and maintained enough good people, leaders, and experienced players to sustain the cultural standards at the club.
Martinez 33, Susuki 24.
Digne 33, Ruggeri 24.
Konsa 28, Cisse 21 (although their level has dropped at centre half).
Tielemans 29, Gomes 25.
Watkins 30, Jackson 25.
Also added Garnacho, Manzambi, and Mbaye on top of their youth prospects in Madjo and Hemmings.
Forget the media narrative. The alternative was keeping aging stars, not commanding big fee's for them as they age, and not being able to replace them because money wasn't brought into the club!
It's an excellent transfer window and I firmly believe that Villa will remain competitive in Europe and challenge for Europe domestically once again, even if it might take their season a little while to get going because the change has been so drastic.
These are exciting times for Aston Villa, especially after retaining Unai Emery despite the turnover in the squad.
Looking forward to watching them next season ✌️

Tielemans sold. Onana ACL. Doesn’t matter. Boubacar Kamara showed that he is the bedrock of technical and defensive consistency that epitomises a world class 6. Enzo & Anderson were outclassed by Kamara. Top performance.

Exactly as foretold, they would only report it once it was too late.
Up until now, it's been 'record house prices!' on repeat every month, pushing the unsuspecting into this trap.
Intentionally or not, the media plays a huge part in this problem.

UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter
They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information
The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain

HSBC says European equity funds are shifting capital from France toward the UK, as concerns over France’s fiscal outlook intensify.
The bank recently cut France to Underweight, citing worsening public finances, weaker growth forecasts and deteriorating earnings expectations.
HSBC remains Overweight European technology and sees higher bond yields continuing to support financial stocks.

This is great.
First, moustachioed maestro Des Lynam talks us through the final Premiership table of the 2003-04 season.
And then we're treated to a lovely montage of the new champions, with legendary Barclays soundtrack.
Positively delightful.

I have us around 66% SCR with Mbaye & Harwood-Bellis.
I think Stefan Borson has us much closer to 70% and Kieran Maguire much lower. #avfc
