In reality, the Fed slowed QE5 immediately when Warsh took over, and the Fed's holdings of Treasuries and MBS have been flat to slightly down the last 9 weeks, all without any announcement from the Fed. The stock market is responding to that turning off of the faucet.
Warsh in press briefing dispensed with the narrative that tech is not interest rate sensitive and said basically look what happened to spreads in that complex since September hike.

Wise guys who used to steal trucks of cigarettes from teamsters back in the day are upping their game! 🤣
❗️ Cargo thieves have stolen more than $100M in hardware bound for US data centers since June, NBC News reports.
They hijack freight-broker accounts, post fake loads and send carriers malware links to take over their accounts too.
In one of the biggest heists, an SUV struck the security escort of a trailer carrying ~$10M in server rack components from California to Texas.
The trailer sped off. An app was tracking it, but its coordinates had apparently been spoofed.
In another, a sedan hit the off-duty police escorts of a $13M server load bound for Georgia, and the trailer drove on.
None of the equipment from either load has been found.
Since June, according to the numbers we track, Total Housing units completed have dropped 13.3% into end of September. Includes single family and multi family.
From the peak in August 2024 the decline to June was 22.3%. Total decline from peak into September was 31.2%.
The last 3 months are a step function down or as I like to say accelerating lower.
