I've scouted the NFL Draft since 2016. Today I'm opening up the desk I built to do the job: Teamistry Football.
Every club's roster, depth chart, injury log and scheme notes, plus recruiting, the portal and a 2027 board. NFL, college, CFL, UFL. One desk. 🧵

I am hearing crazy stuff out of the Hula Bowl. Any scout who does business with Nick Logan is going to get screwed. This guy is the biggest crook in all star history and that is a high bar.
Noah Fifita is going to get himself drafted in the late rounds. He’s got good processing ability. Yeah, he’s small, but he has some tools there to work with and with a little experience can carve himself a nice backup career.
No… just… no.
I think I’ve said it many times on the Jets shows I have been on - Garrett Wilson can be a WR1 in the same way Zay Flowers is, or how Steve Smith did it. He has that level of agility and athleticism.
That being said… he is an elite #2.
The problem with the Jets core, from what I’ve seen, is they have two really good #2’s in Wilson and now Omar Cooper who’s exploding onto the scene.
Takes a creative schemer to figure that one out.
Geno Smith spent the entire first half as a check down artist and missed what would’ve been 2/3 easy walk in Touchdowns because he wasn’t even looking at @GarrettWilson_V or Kenyon Sadiq. He stared at his first read almost the entire time until he was forced to throw to the flat.
Watching JJ McCarthy the last 3 quarters in New York makes you wonder what in the actual hell was Kevin O’Connell doing with this guy?
Schematics mean even more this year in college football. Who’s doing things best?
There are no quarterbacks right now (with the exception of maybe Darian Mensah) who is truly a game changer.
Look at why Texas Tech is struggling today. Look what has Indiana going to overtime with Michigan tied at 6.
This is most likely an attempt to drum up more interest. Get bigger schools to offer more money and try and leverage it into a bidding war.
This is a new approach to an old tactic.
Whoever is representing Jesse Legree may have cost this young man A LOT of money.
A true freshman leading the nation with 1,040 receiving yards has tremendous market value. At minimum, explore your options and understand your worth before committing.
Loyalty is great, but potentially passing up generational money without testing your value is bad business.

Yeah I’ll believe it when I see it.
NEW: Oregon State star true freshman WR Jesse Legree will return to Corvallis for the 2027 season, @PeteNakos, @SWiltfong_ and @Hayesfawcett3 report🦫
Legree is leading the nation in receiving yards (1,040) through week 7.

Offers measure attention, not ability. A high school rating built on offers tells you who got noticed first.
Better questions: what does he do on tape, and what system does he fit? Every college team page has a scheme desk to start with.

The more I look at the top high school prospects for next year, the more I realize that something is terribly wrong in the system
Watching Tyler Huntley and Jalon Daniels run around and play this afternoon has brought on a profound thought to my head.
There will always be a place in the NFL for those Josh Johnson-type players. Dude really changed backup QB’s for the better.
Kevin Stefanski has Bijan Robinson averaging 12.8 yards a carry today and he’s got 4 carries in the first half.
You have arguably the best running back in the game and… you’re not giving him the ball.
Great question.
I’m under the opinion that it’s easy to get caught up in traits and see the potential a guy has if he puts a few other things together. Tools/traits almost always translate. However, it’s becoming more exceedingly rare to find players who are more willing to do the work to refine their games in this day and age and not lean on the traits they possess.
Have to find the balance between traits and technique, and it’s a very fine line when a person’s drive and mentality come into play.

Always wondered why so many scouts miss on players and completely whiff on their evals. Obviously it’s not easy to scout but so many plays are overhyped. Why is that
This is the right thing for Marvin Harrison Jr.
Let him settle into Houston. As long as Nico Collins stays healthy, he will produce there. #HOUvsJAX
Dude will take a seven figure deal next year to a blue blood school.
Book it.
NEW: Oregon State true freshman WR Jesse Legree is the first player to reach 1,000 receiving yards this season🦫

Note: Faizon Brandon isn’t benched, he’s still recovering after being hurt.
The only point that this is showing is that the problem is evaluating in college. The high school rating systems are based entirely on offers. Who has the most attention?
On3/Rivals, 247 Sports, your entire system needs to be re-evaluated.
If we Twitter scouts could swing it and organize, I’ll bet we could put something together that would rival (pun intended) those sites and give them a run for their money.
The Past 6 #1 High School QBs have been rough:
2026: Faizon Brandon = BENCHED
2025: Bryce Underwood = BENCHED
2024: DJ Lagway = Transferred
2023: Arch Manning = Arch Manning
2022: Drew Allar = 3rd Round Pick
2021: Quinn Ewers = 7th Round Pick
