Having Zavier Lucero in the roster gives Gilas added size and versatility.
Let’s go🔥💪

After his mother team in Japan informed Gilas of his unavailability, Kai Sotto will play in the November window of the FIBA qualifiers after all. ❤️🙏🏽🔥

BREAKING NEWS:
Coach Tim Cone just shared to me a terrible news this Monday.
The Altiri Chiba has informed Gilas Pilipinas officials that Kai Sotto will be “unavailable” for the upcoming FIBA window.
Oh. My. God.
It’s not serious, I am told, but with Kai’s ACL tear history, this knee issue is being handled with an abundance of caution🙏🏽
Uh-oh🥲
Without the 7-foot-3 center, chances of Gilas sweeping Syria and Iran regress from absolutely doable to probable.
So will Kai be healthy by then? 🤔

Former PSC chairman Phillip Juico was instrumental in bringing to Cebu City the Asian boxing qualifying tournament for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
A newspaper reporter who doubled as information officer of the Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) back then, I had the pleasure of making his acquaintance.
Phillip Juico was a great leader, a doer. But most importantly, a wonderful man.
I am saddened to hear about his passing.
Rest in peace, sir. 🙏🏽
If you are a hoops fan and you’re still not following @ompongski you have no idea what you’re missing.
He is the best statistician in the entire 🇵🇭 and perhaps in all of Asia.
Showing a toughness and maturity beyond his 18 years, Joaquin Tovera has emerged as the clear leader in the UAAP Season 89 Rookie of the Year race.
Facing elimination in this Game 3 and currently getting torn to shreds, Magnolia’s best player, Zavier Lucero, hasn’t played in the second half.
Awesome job by the coaching staff.
Magnolia fans suddenly miss Chito Victolero.
Here’s how one-sided the ongoing Game 3 of the TNT-Magnolia QF series is:
The Tropang 5G are up 21 in the third quarter and there’s not one wrinkle in Rondae Hollis-Jefferson’s jersey.
There are miracles in basketball but not tonight.
It looks like the Hotshots have given up.
Oh my.
When you play like crap you can’t blame the refs🥲
San Miguel import George King questioned the officiating in Beermen's Game 2 loss against Ginebra.

Whether or not you believe there’s hocus pocus going on, one thing is clear.
Fans will always be suspicious of spooky things happening when sister teams collide 🥲
San Miguel looked old and listless in a 126-99 G2 loss to Ginebra tonight.
June Mar Fajardo was alright but nowhere near dominant.
But here’s what’s weird: Volume shooter George King, who once scored 64 for Blackwater in 2024, took only 9 shots in 35 minutes of play to finish with a weak 13 points.
King took 20 shots in G1.
Why was he suddenly gun-shy in a must-win G2?
