BREAKING: A top GOP official just said on a hot mic, "Stephen Miller as chief-of-staff is game over. In 2028 Democrats will win 500 electoral votes and a Senate supermajority. They learned no lessons from Tuesday. America didn't vote for more Stephen 'Nosferatu Goebbels' Miller."

Instead of taking a lesson from Tuesday's resounding election results, Trump is just doubling down, replacing poop with nuclear waste. Stephen Miller is even more extreme, more white nationalist, more corrupt, more racist. Essentially, Goebels is in charge now.
Trump: "I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026. Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff — She has done a great job! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Presidents certainly have the right to pick their Chiefs of Staff, but selecting Stephen Miller shows that Donald Trump has learned nothing from the message Americans sent him in this election. Miller is the architect of some of the worst policies of this presidency, from the cruel and chaotic ICE enforcement to the tariffs jacking up your costs. Promoting him isn’t only bad for this Administration, it’s bad for the American people.

Jessica: It boggles my mind that Republicans would look at the outcome from Tuesday night and think, you know who needs a bigger job? Stephen Miller. Texas is blue. Ted Cruz is sitting there by himself wondering if anyone will ever sit at a lunch table with him again. If you want to win elections again, I think this is one of the dumbest things you could do

Patriotic American Veterans Are Coming After Pete Hegseth — and Demanding Harshest Punishment Possible: "Those Are War Crimes" Veterans and senior officers purged from the Pentagon are done with half-measures. Firing Pete Hegseth is the bare minimum. As the calls for his removal grow louder, they are demanding that Congress go further: impeach him, convict him, and permanently bar him from ever holding public office again. "There is no pathway back to an effective and respected DOD with Hegseth as the secretary of war," said one senior officer forced out under his watch. "Many of us blame Congress almost as much as we blame him. The government has failed the military, and impeaching Hegseth is the first, necessary step toward restoring any faith or confidence." The indictment against him is long and ugly. Retired Rear Adm. Michael Smith, founder of National Security Leaders for America, says the case extends far beyond the war with Iran. He points to the deadly boat strikes against civilians in the Caribbean — strikes he flatly calls war crimes, which is to say murder — and to the abrupt resignation of the Southern Command commander. "Was it because he was given an illegal order and he didn’t want to follow that?" Smith asked. The failures do not stop there. Veterans groups have condemned Hegseth's refusal to evacuate military families from Bahrain before the fighting with Iran began, leaving spouses and children in harm's way when Iran struck the Navy's largest base in the Middle East. They have also highlighted the reported conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and the targeted removal of senior officers who are women and people of color. Hegseth has not merely been a bad secretary. He has been a destructively criminal one. Simply letting him leave with no accountability should not and cannot happen in a country like the United States of America.

The impeachment trial of @SecWar is going to be so sweet, it's going to be last-episode-of-@seinfeld level viewing, because he is such an abominable piece of human garbage. And then, hopefully, his criminal trial.

Holy moly. JBLM went results went from 53%-44% Trump to 71%-28% Dem, a 51-point swing towards the Dems. Military personnel do not f*** with being disrespected.

This is Jon Ossoff. He just got reelected in Georgia and then cooked Trump’s intelligence nominee in under 2 minutes. Asked a simple question: who won 2020? The nominee folded. Ossoff didn’t. No spin. No fear. Just pure pressure. This is what Democrats who actually want to win look like. Watch it. Then tell me if you still think he’s “too young.”

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

Want to know why I'm angry at @realDonaldTrump? So @NewYorker just ran a piece about how DC Republicans are running for the exits. And amid all the sneering was this quote: "We took over and we just kind of fucking botched it. The Democrats didn’t create some bullshit. We had a generational opportunity and we basically squandered it. Look at the coalition we had in 2024. Those people might not ever vote again in their lives." Exactly. Trump could have tried to KEEP the promises he made, to make the government fairer and leaner, make medical care more affordable (not just lard it with more subsidies), make housing easier to build, fight the bureaucracies that make every level of school far more expensive and inefficient than it should be, etc. A lot of middle-class and lower-middle-class people really believed he would fight for them. And would he have won all those fights? No, of course not. But he would have made real progress - the Republicans controlled the White House and Congress. Instread he didn't even try. He concentrated on getting rich and ballrooms and the reflecting pool, the stupidest, vainest possible stuff, along with starting foreign wars, the one thing he'd promised he wouldn't do. Now, two years later, all those people think the system is MORE corrupt, that Trump only cares about himself and getting richer and the billionaires who can help him to do it. And they're right to think so. They are angrier and more dispossessed than ever. And that's bad for the United States, bad for our future, bad for my kids and yours. And it is one man's fault.
The old man was treated unfairly in 2016, when they tried to crown Hillary 2018, when they pretended he was a Russian spy 2020, when they pretended Covid was the plague 2024, when they prosecuted him for the crime of beating Hillary But there’s nothing unfair about the ass-whipping he is about to take. He deserves every inch of it and more. This time around he has become the grifting incompetent doddering fool they said he was, he has leaned in to the caricature so far he’s fallen over and taken the Republican Party with him. I take no joy in writing this, I voted for him in 2024 and hoped for better. But the next two years will be brutal, and he has only himself and the thieving courtiers he installed around him to blame. Happy Election Day, El Hombre Naranja

Turns out Americans don’t like a president who profits off the office, sucks up to Putin, constantly picks fights with allies, gets the country into wars he has no idea how to end, and has a Republican Congress that won’t hold him accountable. Who knew?
