“Chris is giving it his all — he's doing everything he can do. He gets doubled from various angles — he's gonna draw a lot of attention.”
Andy Reid on Chris Jones' slow start to the season
Andy Reid on benching Kingsley Suamataia for Mike Caliendo on Sunday:
“This is just between Kingsley and I. It's not something that's earth-shattering.”
Adds: “He actually played in the game [vs Denver] a little bit on special teams.”
Andy Reid on the refs re-spotting the ball from 4th-and-2 to 4th-and-inches after the Chiefs sent their punt unit onto the field in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game in Denver:
“As we ran our punt team out, then they moved the ball up to what looked like less than a football, very close to the yard marker. Well, by that time, they've got you.”
Adds that if the ball had been spotted correctly: “Pretty good chance you're probably gonna go for the thing.”
Andy Reid on Harrison Butker's 54-yard missed field goal in the fourth quarter vs Denver:
“He ended up going too far right, but I see why he went right ... when you have a heavy overload on the left side and penetration there, that's going to alter a kicker.”
