Nas ain’t a stretch. He’s the reason the bar exists. Illmatic rewired the debut. Then he spent 30 years refusing to become a museum. “N.Y. State of Mind.” “Ether.” “One Mic.” “Made You Look.” That’s not a playlist — that’s scripture the culture still quotes. Ye moved the plates. Nas drew the original map. Jay built the house. Kendrick filled the stadiums. Drake filled arenas. Kendrick brought the modern crown. Drake 200 writing credits on iceman. Nas is the fourth name the list was scared to write.

I’d argue Nas also 😬🤷🏾‍♂️

Bozo spent 2 years saying Hov sent Kendrick in a coordinated attack to eliminate Drake & now he’s backtracking.
🚨 Akademiks SHUTS DOWN conspiracies that the entire industry came together to take down DRAKE, but says UMG may have seen “NOT LIKE US” as a way to “KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE.” Ak says Universal had every reason to push a massively profitable record while also potentially bringing Drake “DOWN A NOTCH” heading into negotiations. “It brings Drake down a notch a little bit, could help them in negotiation, but also give them free cash over here.” But Ak rejects the idea of some coordinated industry plot: “If you want me to agree with some Illuminati industry takedown… NO.” “This is two rappers.”

TAWK @PROBLEM354 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
REPLAY ⏪🚨 Problem goes OFF as he defends Kendrick Lamar while addressing the continued backlash over Drake’s 2024 rap battle LOSS during an appearance with Glasses Malone at Baller Alert’s studio with Ferrari Simmons. Problem says he’s tired of people questioning why they’re celebrating Kendrick’s victory, arguing that fans and friends should be allowed to show love to the person who WON the battle. He compares it to celebrating a winning sports team instead of constantly revisiting the losing side. He also suggests Drake’s supporters are struggling to accept the outcome because they expected him to win, adding that some industry figures in Atlanta, Miami and New York benefited financially from their relationships with Drake. Problem, who admits he was a huge Drake fan before the battle, says he can no longer connect with his music the same way because of the change in Drake’s energy and persona following the loss. His biggest point? It’s not about hating Drake. It’s about loving Kendrick, celebrating their friend’s victory and refusing to pretend the 2024 outcome didn’t happen. As Problem puts it, no amount of revisiting the conversation will change the fact that Kendrick WON. 🏆

Jared Verse on the QB room: 🎙️ “These are two great quarterbacks… I’ve just seen 2 elite quarterbacks battling it out.” ⚔️ On Shedeur: 🎯 “That dude’s confidence is unparalleled. The way he goes out there, the way he throws… he dots them, he connects them.” ✨ V8 had a front-row seat for the film study. 🔍👀

Shedeur knows what has transpired with money commitments.

You're projecting. Every reply is written to make Shedeur look bad while claiming you don’t hate him. Watson’s fully guaranteed $230M is in its final year with real dead-money pressure. Gabriel’s rookie deal isn’t. That’s why Shedeur is still ahead of Gabriel on the depth chart—the situations aren’t the same. You start with “Deshaun is better” and work backward. Monken kept Shedeur as the clear QB2 for a reason.

You will say anything to make you think Shedeur is good, if Shedeur is front DG based on merit, why wouldn't it be the same, DG contract is much more significant the 2, there's Undrafted free agents playing in front of players with guaranteed money Deshaun is better

🚨 Hip-Hop does not rate pop music deals. It rates independence and freedom of artistic expression. 🔺 On the pyramid of deals, independence sits at the top. The next best position outside full independence is the PG Lang agreement — ownership structure, creative control, and cultural alignment in one. Drake filed a lawsuit specifically to uncover the details of that deal. He was disappointed. The arrangement did not match the commercial model he operates under. 🎭 He has since shifted to pop-culture positioning narratives that treat the field as if Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny no longer exist. That framing does not change the math. In-perpetuity label ownership does not become a better deal after 40. It becomes a longer obligation. 📉 Drake tested performance without full label support on a handshake basis and the results were limited. That is why Iceman carried a nearly two-year rollout, jet-lag music from extensive touring, and heightened promotion. The campaign relied on scale, alleged streaming tactics, and coordinated narratives rather than independent demand. Universal still controlled the radio and playlisting infrastructure because the masters remain under their ownership. 📜 Glasses Malone, the leading voice currently legislating hip-hop standards, has drawn the same line: rap records and commercial volume do not automatically place an artist inside the culture. Hip-hop is a practice with rules, history, and a preference for control over the work. Pop deals optimize for reach and perception. They do not rewrite the ranking system. ✅ The standard remains the standard. Independence and artistic freedom still sit above label perpetuity. #HipHopStandards 🚨 Independent analysis on the Drake filing: UMG owns the masters. That’s business structure, not hip-hop induction. Pop-performing commercial rap under major-label control does not automatically enter the culture’s rankings system. The standard remains the standard.

🚨 Independent reporting: Sources note divided opinions on whether Drake’s playlisting and alleged inflation tactics actually moved the needle long-term. A handshake challenge was reportedly floated to test performance without full label support; Drake instead leveraged the Sony partnership on the PartyNextDoor album and narrowly avoided embarrassment. Universal still handled radio and playlisting under existing obligations — the challenge never became a real split. On Iceman, promotions increased further. The result is ongoing dependence on the label that owns the masters in perpetuity. Same sources say Drake has sought a new deal structured around the exact valuation gap needed to reach billionaire status. The priority remains perception and positioning, not artistic category. Drake’s arrangement is a commercial pop deal. It is not the strongest version of that model. Kendrick’s current deal remains the highest-valued hip-hop-specific agreement on record to date. teapawt.org/southside_gunn/status/…

🚨 Drake is facing major backlash online after DJ Akademiks claimed he’s set to sign the BIGGEST record deal in music history with Universal Music Group. 👀 Fans aren’t holding back their reactions, questioning why Drake would potentially return to UMG after publicly clashing with the label, saying they tried to sabotage his career, & previously expressing frustrations over his record deal. Others are pointing out the irony of seemingly fighting for independence, only to potentially re-sign with the same major label that owns all of his pre 2018 work. The possibility has sparked accusations of hypocrisy, with many fans questioning whether Drake’s actions align with the stance he’s previously taken on artist independence after his battle with Kendrick Lamar. The reactions are pouring in across social media with many fans feeling lied to.
