This guy accidentally sent $73 million in Bitcoin to the wrong person.
Instead of accepting defeat, he sent a message directly on the blockchain with an offer:
Keep $7.3 million (10%) and send the remaining $65.7 million back.
Thoughts?
some of the biggest memecoins in history have dropped 80–98% before going on to make new all-time highs.
$DOGE fell 95% before its next major run. $BONK dropped 95%. $FLOKI lost 98% before eventually reaching a new ATH.
the part people forget is how brutal the drawdown was. most holders probably thought the opportunity had passed, or that the coin was dead.
obviously, not every memecoin comes back. thousands disappear after their first run, and surviving long enough to make a new high is the exception.
but it shows why a massive drawdown alone doesn’t tell you whether a coin is finished.
how many people do you think could actually hold through a 95% crash and still be there for the recovery?
this could actually be a pretty big step for onboarding more retail into crypto.
the next wave is sitting on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
interesting to see PumpFun putting real incentives behind creators who can bring those audiences onchain.
bullish on this.

PumpSwap has processed $206b in trading volume over the last 12 months, 1.65x the next biggest solana DEX.
Meteora, Orca and Raydium are all sitting below $100B on the same chart.
PumpFun launched PumpSwap in march 2025 and it’s already become a major part of solana’s trading infrastructure.
The interesting part is that the same ecosystem that made memecoin launches explode is now capturing the trading volume that comes afterwards.
How long can Pump hold the top spot?
This is insane.
$SHIB did +466% in one day in 2021. $DOGE did +356%. more recently in 2024, $PNUT ran +279% in a single session.
what stands out is these weren’t tiny coins making moves on thin liquidity. they were already worth hundreds of millions, sometimes billions.
once a memecoin gets that much attention, the buying pressure can get completely out of hand. but the same volatility works both ways when the hype disappears.
What memecoin is about to have one of those days where it just goes up 500% out of nowhere?
this is insane
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

Binance has suffered what appears to be one of the largest exchange hacks in crypto history.
according to @hypurrdash, roughly $5.6 billion in assets were drained across multiple blockchains.
the interesting part is how quickly stablecoin issuers responded.
Tether has reportedly frozen around $971 million in USDT, while Circle has frozen another $823 million in USDC.
that's nearly $1.8 billion in assets frozen shortly after the exploit.
@cz_binance has also addressed the situation, stating that user funds are safe and that he expects all affected funds to be fully covered.
pretty crazy to see an exploit of this size, but also a reminder of how much power stablecoin issuers have when it comes to stopping stolen funds from moving onchain.

User funds are safe!
It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m).
I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.
Hyperliquid has generated $687m in revenue over the last 12 months.
PumpFun is sitting at $480m. then there’s a pretty big gap to the rest of the list.
crypto has spent years chasing token launches and narratives, but the real money is being made by platforms people actually use.
trading, launchpads, prediction markets and defi are generating serious revenue while most tokens still struggle to capture any value.
the interesting part is how few protocols are pulling in the majority of it.
Which crypto app do you think will be at the top this time next year?
