Incorporating 3D renders for product websites is a must. These are the experiences that tell a story and that actually sell. I'm very happy with this one I designed a while back.

Big players with very low self respect when it comes to design. It’s shocking and even unexpected that such low quality standards exist in a company.
This is genuinely depressing to see.

Every day brings a fresh wave of new concepts, shiny projects, and inevitable distractions. It’s tempting to chase them all, but trying to build ten things at once usually means finishing zero. My rule for staying effective? Ruthless prioritization. I let the ideas flow, write them down, and then intentionally pick just two or three to execute on. Everything else gets shelved or discarded. Saying "no" (or "not right now") to good ideas is the only way to give your best ideas the energy, depth, and momentum they actually need to succeed. Creativity generates options. Discipline chooses the winners. How do you filter through the noise when everything feels worth doing?

The thermostat app I use pushed a new design update...And it's a classic example a fresh look with poor regard for UX. This redesign fell into the trap of "make it pretty" and I'm sure they thought that made it a better experience too... But after this update, it took me all of 2sec to realize how it made it much more difficult to actually see the thermostat settings I had. The key info was grouped into wrapping cards with completely decorative illustrations and pushed far apart. I literally cannot compare the numbers to one another because I have to look at them independently. Don't do this to your users. Think about them when making visual changes. Visual design is great but not at the expense of UX.

HangUp now custom lists! 📌 (Thanks Opus 5.5 for making it so fun to build) Now you can save your favorite spots and send them to your crew. Make a list, share it with friends, and vote on where to go. Waiting for the App Store approval and then this will be out in the 1.4 release! Building is too fun now.

Claude Opus 5.5 is so fast. Building a massive new feature for my iOS App HangUp and it's absolute lightning! Excited to share soon. But his model is stellar.

This absolutely hilarious. AI is cool, no doubt. But I’m still waiting for AI slop to become a thing of the past. As it stands the only way to get close to good designs is giving a model a huge stack of md’s, documents, style, references, etc. Then refining multiple iterations on the smallest of things that it just struggles to get right. If AI manages to get there without needing any hand holding and oversight, it’s not replacing designers, it’s just another reliable tool.
I've worked with brilliant designers in my life and Astra/Opus outshine them 10x when it comes to not only design aesthetics, but remarkably creative UX solutions, in 1/1000th of the time. If we were being doomerish about it, Astra and latest Opus mark the death of designers the way models in 2025 ended coding.

Krea.ai absolutely crushes it at illustration. It's grown to become one of my favorite tools for quickly generating graphics based on a specific style of theme.

I think they washed some of the personality with this one. What does everyone else think?
McLaren got a rebrand

A recent web and branding project merging science and sports. The client loved the electric sports feeling while keeping a nod to the technical and precise manufacturing process.

Every day, distractions pull me in many different directions. Saying yes to everything is the fastest path to achieving nothing. Success in an area comes from ruthlessly narrowing focus and cutting out the noise. It’s good to remind myself of this constantly.

It's so surreal looking back at a project that I put so much energy into. It now lives on as its own entity and for me, my focus immediately goes to the next project. This is the life of a designer. Blessed to have been a part of this one.

Just kicked off a new project in the online digital pack-opening space. The client is hungry for futuristic jaw-dropping interactions. This is what I do best. More to come soon!

Toddler brings home another bug -> immune system collapses -> design deadlines stay exactly the same. Designing while constantly sick is absolute hard mode. Shoutout to every parent freelancing through a perpetual cold.

Another look at the HPVC - Hasso Plattner Venture Capital rebrand Bringing a modern, high-energy brand to life for a top-tier VC firm was easily one of my favorite challenges this year. Live now👇 hp-vc.com

Rebranding a major venture capital firm doesn't happen overnight, but working with the team at HPVC made every second worth it. Honored to have led the brand and website redesign alongside some of the sharpest minds in the industry. They are truly hungry for innovation. 👇 hp-vc.com/

Exploring visuals for tech brands is a never ending exercise for me. I love finding the connecting thread that provides harmony in a visual system.

I really enjoy defining different visual directions with a strict set of components and parts of a design. These constraints help focus in on unique details that can be extrapolated further down the road.
Defining the mood and direction of a concept is a crossroads in the creative process... It's where defining traits, tones, and characteristics are established and there's always an abundant amount of possibilities. I revel in this stage. Distilling down these moods to a client is an art form in itself. This a look at one of those moments I lead in a past project. PS It was also VERY fun.
