This photo was the Day, the one where I went to interview MF DOOM and MF GRIMM for STRESS, NY's Illest Mag. I met Percy first, he was out of his chair on the carpeted floor so I sat down there too. A few minutes later I looked up and Dumile walked toward us, we looked at each other like "hey I know you!!" but we didn't. We all kept in touch after the Day, for many years. Until we didn't. Music and business and money-folding to the side, these are the best of humans. I am always honored thinking of my times with them both or with each as individuals. They both consider/ed knowing me their Honor.
31 October is just a marker of a day. Any and every day U play MF DOOM's music, listen to his rhymes, bop your head to beats he made or he co-produced with DJ SUBROC, explore classic KMD songs, and remember the times YOU shared with friends & loved ones & family with DOOM as the soundtrack - he lives. Play your favorite songs, post them here, tell your memories, add a photo or your art in tribute to the Super Villain, tell us what DOOM means to you. Today is just a marker, and every day is DOOMSDAY.

‘Fuck you Adams. No cop city in Queens. This means war.’
Massive banners dropped sometime recently declaring war against the mayor following plans announced in May to launch a ‘cop city’ training facility in College Point, Queens (More on that: citylimits.org/2024/07/09/op…)

Congratulations to our heroine, journalist Hind Al-Khoudary, on her nomination for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize.
It is noteworthy that Hind refused to leave Gaza with her family, choosing to continue covering the genocide in Gaza despite the lack of global media coverage.
We are proud of you, @Hind_Gaza ♥️

Arab and Muslim students at Columbia have no routes for justice. This is something that a lot of people do not understand. We cannot report anything to Columbia admin because they are the ones surveilling, suspending, and silencing us. We have no desire to go to NYPD because we routinely are surveilled and brutalized by them. We cannot go to anyone except for our own community and those in solidarity with us.

It's official: Mask ban in Nassau County, New York passes along party lines, 12-0 (7 abstentions). It makes wearing a mask a misdemeanor (with unclear health and religious exceptions) and gives police the power to fine people wearing a mask $1,000 and sentence them to jail time.
