Kaduna, thank you for the overwhelming welcome today as we flagged off our APC 2027 Presidential Campaign. Three years ago, you gave me the privilege of serving as your President. Today, you filled this city again, hundreds of thousands of you from across the North, and I felt the warmth of your support. It was good to return with Vice President Kashim Shettima @officialsksm and our wives to a city that carries so much of our nation’s history. I remembered the founding leaders who gathered here before independence and prayed that Almighty Allah grants them forgiveness and eternal peace. Then I spoke to you plainly, because you have heard enough speeches. My opponents talk about hunger and poverty. I asked the crowd today who created these problems. They did. We are the ones working to eradicate them. The subsidy racket, fraudulent invoices and fuel smuggling are firmly behind us, and there is no going back. We confronted what we inherited with courage and political will, and we are building an economy that rewards hard work and creates opportunities for our people. I know the road has been hard. I hear you. Your sacrifices will not be in vain, and I will not rest until the progress we are making is felt in your homes, your businesses and your pockets. Our progressive governors are building roads, hospitals, schools and markets across their states, supported by increased revenues from the reforms we undertook. Salaries are being paid regularly, and development is taking shape. I am proud of what they are delivering for our people. On January 16, 2027, come out with your PVCs and give Vice President Kashim Shettima and me the mandate to finish what we started. Your future is in your hands, and your fingerprints at the ballot will help determine it. Thank you, Governor Uba Sani @ubasanius, for a befitting start to our campaign. Thank you, Kaduna, for standing with us once again. #RenewedHopeInKaduna #TinubuShettima2027 #RenewedHope2.0

When I walked into the hall yesterday and saw the young men and women of the City Boy Movement @CityBoyMedia, Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria @RelaxTIFN, and other youth groups gathered from across our country, I saw something that reminded me why I sought the presidency of this great nation. I saw Nigeria. I saw its energy, its courage, its determination, and the future we are working to build together. Many of you have stood with me through difficult moments. You have defended your convictions, carried our message into communities, and continued to believe in the promise of a greater Nigeria. I listened to your stories with immense pride and gratitude. You reminded me once again that the greatest strength of our nation lies in its people, especially its young people. There are words I do not say often enough, and yesterday, I wanted you to hear them directly from me. Thank you. Thank you for believing. Thank you for standing with me. I remain committed to building a Nigeria worthy of your faith, your sacrifices, and your aspirations. Together, we will deliver the future you deserve.

I was delighted to welcome the leadership and members of the City Boy Movement, @CityBoyMedia, to the State House yesterday evening. Together with the Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria @RelaxTIFN team and other youth support groups from across the country and the diaspora, we shared a warm and personal evening. Since 2022, and for three years, you have defended this administration in the markets, on campuses, in motor parks and on social media, often when it was unpopular to do so. You understood why difficult decisions had become necessary and why Nigeria could not keep borrowing to postpone them. I have seen your commitment, and I will never forget it. What the Movement has built deserves recognition. Over 4.8million verifiable members, organised across our states and local governments, reaching into wards and polling units. A contact centre speaking with young Nigerians every day. Through City Boy Care, you are supporting members in their communities. I was particularly impressed by the launch of #AskCityBoy, which uses super intelligence to help Nigerians understand what their government is doing through simple, everyday conversation. As the Speaker of the House, @Speaker_Abbas, observed, you have built a Movement prepared to answer Nigerians’ questions wherever they are. I am proud of you. I encourage every Nigerian, including our critics, to visit askcityboy.com and ask the questions that matter to you. To Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, your name carries a promise. I appreciate the conviction with which you have taken that message across our country. Your confidence in me carries a responsibility I take seriously. Our reforms must translate into better opportunities for Nigerians and greater security for our families. Through NELFUND, students can pursue their education with financial support. CREDICORP is expanding access to consumer credit, while 3MTT is helping Nigerians acquire skills for a changing economy. We will keep extending these opportunities. The coming election concerns the future we are building together. Get your PVC and encourage your neighbours to get theirs. Organise peacefully and lawfully. Take our record to Nigerians and make your case with conviction. To my son Seyi, who started this quietly and without asking for a title, you have only started. There is much more you can do for our people, and I expect you to keep going. To everyone who has given their time and resources to this Movement, I appreciate you. Your hope, my hope, has been renewed. Thank you. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President

We undertook our economic reforms to build a stronger foundation for investment and give more Nigerians the opportunity to earn a better living. I welcome the World Bank Group’s work to mobilise up to $5.79 billion in private financing for Nigeria. This partnership supports our efforts to help businesses expand and attract investment into agriculture and digital infrastructure. Nigeria has gone a step further to put together a pipeline of 65 bankable projects seeking $78.5 billion in investment. Our Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele @taiwoyedele, presented these opportunities alongside CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso at the Nigeria Investors Forum, on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok. I invite Nigerian and international investors to examine these projects and engage directly with their sponsors through Projects Nigeria. Our administration will work with you to resolve obstacles and move viable investments into execution, creating jobs and expanding opportunities for our people. In Enugu State, CNG-powered buses are making a tangible difference in the daily lives of commuters, providing students, teachers, traders, business owners and other residents with a more affordable and convenient way to move around. Beyond mobility, the impact is economic and deeply human. When people spend less getting to school, work and business, they have more room to pursue opportunities, sustain livelihoods and improve their quality of life. Through the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG&EV), the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is advancing alternative transportation solutions designed to make commuting more accessible, support economic activity and deliver practical benefits to Nigerians under the Renewed Hope Agenda. @PiCNG_EV | @PNMbah #CleanMobility #AffordableTransport #RenewedHopeAgenda

1/3 Dear Blessing, I watched your video and listened as you explained how your journey from Masaka to Berger in the FCT now costs ₦500 instead of ₦1,500. That is ₦1,000 saved every trip. I know what that means when you have a family to feed, bills to pay and other responsibilities waiting at home. I was equally pleased to hear from Ada and Abigail, who now pay ₦1,600 instead of ₦4,000 to travel from Enugu to Nsukka, saving ₦2,400 on each journey. I also listened to Kabir, a taxi driver who explained that ₦10,000 worth of CNG allows him to make three more return trips than his colleagues using petrol. He says he has no intention of going back to petrol. I have also received encouraging feedback from Borno, where some commuters are now paying as little as ₦50 per trip on CNG and electric vehicles. Your various experiences show what our investment in CNG transportation is intended to achieve. Lower operating costs for drivers should translate into more affordable fares for passengers, leaving families with more money for their everyday needs. When we removed the petrol subsidy, I knew the decision would bring difficulties for many households. With that decision came a responsibility to provide practical alternatives that would ease transportation costs. Your stories show this is already happening, and I want more Nigerians to experience these benefits.

2/3 To Emmanuel, who asked for more buses: I heard you. I know many Nigerians are still waiting for affordable transportation to reach their communities. We are working with state governments through the Nigeria Governors’ Forum @NGFSecretariat and private investors to expand these services under the National Affordable CNG Transportation Programme. In the past few weeks, Ekiti has received 15 buses, Lagos 20, and Akwa Ibom has 50 ready for service. Katsina has introduced 30 CNG hybrid buses and 200 electric tricycles. Kano has also received 30 CNG buses and five electric buses, with another rollout scheduled for Edo. Kaduna’s 100 CNG buses have carried over three million passengers to date. Beyond the buses, more than 400 certified centres have converted over 120,000 vehicles to CNG. We are also expanding refuelling infrastructure so drivers can access CNG conveniently and more Nigerians can benefit from lower transport costs. I also recognise the pressure rising petrol prices place on families and businesses. To cushion the impact, we have waived over ₦3.3 trillion in fuel taxes and duties. NNPC Retail is foregoing its profit margin for 30 days, prioritising public transport operators, while we work towards a ₦1,350-per-litre ceiling on wholesale petrol supply costs to reduce price volatility. These measures are intended to ease the immediate burden while we continue expanding affordable transportation alternatives.

3/3 As President, I have a duty to provide relief today without compromising our children’s future. Every commitment must be sustainable and backed by a credible plan. That responsibility guides our decisions, including the difficult ones. Anyone seeking to lead Nigeria should be prepared to explain what their promises will cost, how they will deliver them, and whether they can sustain them. Promises are easy to make when the costs can be postponed, leaving Nigerians and future generations to pay the bill. Blessing, Ada, Abigail and Kabir, your stories encourage me because they show what these investments mean in the daily lives of Nigerians. Emmanuel, your request reminds me of the work still ahead. I know many more Nigerians like you are waiting for these services. Our responsibility is to keep expanding access until affordable transportation becomes a reality for more communities across our country. That is the work we will continue in collaboration with the States. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President @NGRPresident @NigeriaGov @PiCNG_EV

On behalf of the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and on my own behalf, I extend warm and fraternal congratulations to His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi @narendramodi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, on a truly historic milestone. Today, 7 October 2026, marks 25 years since he first assumed office in 2001 as Head of Government and Chief Minister of Gujarat. His public service has continued without interruption. After more than twelve years serving the people of Gujarat, he has remained Prime Minister of the Republic of India since 2014. A quarter-century of unbroken leadership is a rare achievement in any democracy. In the world's most populous nation, it is a powerful testament to the enduring confidence the Indian people have placed in him. Across these 25 years, Prime Minister Modi has led with vision and an unwavering commitment to development. From the transformation of Gujarat to India's emergence as one of the world's largest and fastest-growing economies, his leadership in infrastructure, digital public goods, financial inclusion and innovation has lifted millions and inspired nations across the Global South. Nigeria deeply values the strategic partnership between our two great nations. I fondly recall the Prime Minister's historic State Visit to Abuja in November 2024, when Nigeria honoured him with the title of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger. That visit gave fresh impetus to our cooperation in trade and investment, energy, defence and security, health, education, and technology. As fellow democracies and leading voices of the Global South, Nigeria and India share a common commitment to a fairer, more inclusive and more representative international order. I remain confident that, under his continued leadership, the bonds of friendship between our peoples will grow ever stronger. As Prime Minister Modi marks this remarkable anniversary, I wish him good health, continued strength and every success in the service of the people of India. Federal Government has completed 10 radiodiagnostic centres and three cancer centres across Nigeria, marking a major expansion of healthcare infrastructure and modern medical services under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. The 10 radiodiagnostic centres, delivered through MedSafe and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), are equipped to improve access to modern diagnostic services while supporting quality healthcare, medical training and research. The Bauchi centre at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital is among the facilities completed, with another in Ibadan, Oyo State, scheduled for commissioning. Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, described the development as the largest expansion of health infrastructure and equipment in Nigeria’s history, while also announcing that three cancer centres have been completed as part of the broader healthcare transformation programme. The Federal Government is also preparing to establish six major multi-specialty hospitals, with one planned for each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. Together, these investments are expanding access to specialised medical services and strengthening the country’s capacity for diagnosis, treatment, training and research. The progress reflects a broader push to modernise Nigeria’s health system through upgraded infrastructure, advanced medical equipment and stronger collaboration between the Federal Government and state governments.
