Family walked on the cemetery today, praying for the souls in Purgatory. Especially in the next days, but also for the rest of November we will repeat this.
Either we pray the rosary or the 100 Requiem devotion, a beautiful and easy way of helping souls.

Pope Leo XIV praises the witness of the Franciscan Martyrs of Georgia, who were beatified yesterday, killed in hatred of the faith by the native Guale people in 1597:
“Originally from Spain, they responded generously to the Lord's call to evangelize the peoples of the Americas, even to the point of giving their lives. Let us invoke the intercession of these martyrs for all missionaries of the Gospel.”

But why "even"? Funnily enough it's not about the evening - in the Old Rite you often had a "Vigilia" - the DAY before a great feast already leading thematically towards the Feast.
