“Free this, free that.” But who pays the bill? In his closing statement, Governor Scott challenges the promises of “free” programs with a simple question: Who’s going to pay for that? His answer: You do. Vermonters deserve plans they can afford and a governor who makes sure the math adds up. Re-elect Governor Scott to keep the focus on lowering costs, building more housing, and protecting taxpayers. @WCAXTV #FreeComesWithABill #ShowUsTheMath #SomebodyGetsTheTab #TeamScott #Vermont #VTPoli

When it comes to health care, we can’t afford to wait years for expensive, unproven policy 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 to play out. 𝐖𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝. 𝐖𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐝 𝐮𝐩. I have one. My health care package uses tools from the Affordable Care Act that are already helping keep insurance costs lower in other states. It would offer Vermonters more affordable options right away. To make it happen, I need a Legislature that will work with me to make Vermont more affordable. -Governor Scott

“He’s been in the trenches. He’s done the work.” Governor Scott has run a Vermont business, employed Vermonters, and led our state through difficult times. That experience matters when decisions affect our schools, our livelihoods, and our communities. Reelecting Phil Scott keeps practical experience and tested leadership focused on making Vermont more affordable and strengthening our economy. Vermont’s housing shortage has put homeownership out of reach for too many people and pushed rents beyond what families can afford. We’ve made progress and invested hundreds of millions of dollars in housing, but we can’t spend our way out of this shortage. Building or renovating a home in Vermont still costs too much, takes too long, and is too complicated. That’s why I’ve pushed for meaningful regulatory reform to make housing faster and less expensive to build. My plan would simplify permitting and zoning. It would invest in restoring existing homes and improving critical infrastructure. It would also support communities and small businesses working to create more housing. We need to make it easier to build the housing Vermonters need. I’m asking for your help electing a legislature that will work with me to put these reforms into action. -Governor Phil Scott

“The housing crisis is real. We should treat it like it was a flood.” Vermont needs urgency on housing and lasting reforms to the systems driving education costs. Raising taxes and fees alone won’t solve those problems. Reelecting Governor Scott keeps experienced leadership focused on reform, fiscal responsibility, and affordability. Electing legislators willing to work with him gives that work the support it needs. To hear more Vermonters thoughts click here: youtu.be/NJLyfOPHnCs?si=XsDA…

Property taxes are crushing Vermonters. Without meaningful reform, annual increases of 10% or more could become the norm. I’ve helped prevent hundreds of millions of dollars in property tax increases in recent years, but I know that isn’t enough. I need your help electing more legislators who will work with me to reform the system and control costs. We need leaders willing to do the hard work, instead of asking Vermonters to keep paying more. -Governor Scott

I believe older Vermonters should be able to afford to retire in the state they call home. Unfortunately, that’s becoming more and more difficult. Vermont is one of few states that still taxes Social Security income. That’s why we’ve already eliminated the income tax on Social Security for tens of thousands of Vermonters. And next legislative session, I’ll propose even more relief, so Vermonters can afford to retire in the communities they love. -Governor Phil Scott

If we’re going to build a Vermont where young families and future generations can afford to stay here, we need to focus on economic growth and creating new jobs and opportunities. A “degrowth agenda,” which my opponent has advocated for, isn’t the answer. I will continue pushing for policies that help young Vermonters find homes they can afford and make it easier for employers to grow, invest, and create jobs here. -Governor Scott

“We need to have balance.” Vermonters deserve a government where lawmakers listen, debate, and consider different viewpoints. Governor Scott argues that balance matters regardless of which party holds power. Reelecting Governor Scott keeps his experience and focus on affordability working for Vermont. Electing legislators willing to negotiate and find common ground can help move reforms forward for all Vermonters. Your vote helps shape both. Over the last several years, we’ve seen too many landowners and communities in rural Vermont left behind by laws they didn’t create, like Act 181. When unelected bodies—like regional planning committees—try to impose additional requirements on our rural communities without accountability, that further worsens rural Vermont’s affordability crisis. And when those entities don’t follow the right processes, they need to be held accountable. Instead of more mandates, rural Vermont needs relief from this type of overreach.

Gary Nolan worked with Phil Scott in the legislature. He saw firsthand how Phil listens, weighs the options, and works across the aisle. What stands out to Gary is Phil’s steady demeanor, even when disagreements get heated. At the State House, the racetrack, or helping decorate a Fourth of July float, Gary says Phil is the same person. Reelecting Governor Scott means keeping an experienced leader who brings patience, sound judgment, and a willingness to work with others to Vermont’s challenges. #PhilScott #TeamScott #Vermont #VTPoli #LeadershipMatters
