My 15yr old has way more friends who have had a parent pass away than I had when I was her age. These parents are MY age and my friends or their spouses and none were accidents. I just found out about another one last night and I'm still processing this...

Thank you all. On top of how devastating it is, it's scary as hell. I mean, these weren't freak accidents. We've lost friends to lupus, heart attacks, blood clots and now leukemia (which was in remission) and all of them in their 30s-early 40s and most of them seemed healthy.
