I love @SaintArnold. They are the best of Texas beer culture and Texas culture generally. So welcoming.* Makes me think of my pal Stemp, who taught me about the art of beer brewing. He was a great Texan and Aggie who gave away his home brew at our tailgate in the early days. Stemp’s brew was delicious and mystery HIGH alcohol, and we had to advise people to take it easy, to taste and sip. A vampire rock singer who came to the tailgate did not heed this warning, drank a lot of it, and got messed up, fortunately to no bad ends. That actually was a super fun day like most tailgates, people were stoked that he came by and hung out. It’s hard to counsel vampire rockers because you don’t become one of those with normal sensitivities and assessment of risk. One of the best rock voices I’ve ever heard in person, great guy. Stemp taught me the best of Texas beer culture which is very caring and artful. I love giving beer away, giving free stuff away to people who dig it is one of my favorite hobbies. Hi beer friends 👋 😎🍻 I love a lot of StA beers but for tailgate I enjoy StA Grand Prize. Because: 1. Delicious 2. Easy to find in Houston cases 3. Pairs well with food and especially spicy food 4. A lower calorie option in my cooler 5. Not too high alcohol content for tailgating because you don’t want to turn people into vampire rockers unless you do 6.
