Amazing words on the power of sports to bring us together as humans. Well said @Pontifex! Should be required viewing!
Pope Leo XIV to the student athletes of Villanova University and the University of Notre Dame:
“No one is born a champion, just as no one is born a saint. Rather, holiness requires a daily training in love. In this regard, Christians are called to run in the race of life, but the objective of winning an imperishable crown of glory.
I pray that the activities, which comprise your pilgrimage, especially your business, the tombs of the apostles, who gave their lives in defence of the faith, will serve as a reminder that our true goal, beyond emerging victorious in any one event, is to win the prize of everlasting life.”

My 2004 Stanford basketball team is an epic case study in overachievement. My new book, WINNING WITHOUT PERMISSION, tells the inside story.

I know it’s been @NCAA Exhibition season but there a lot of coaching staff bench’s that need to get EXCITED and show some ENTHUSIASM for their players making plays and making plays for others. Man— Have some fun!Encourage them. Get excited for their progress.
It goes fast !!
We've read lots of books on youth sports written by coaches, parents and experts. We rarely get to read one written by players. This book by Grayson Gervais is short, sweet and a must read. Highly recommended for players, parents and coaches!

Will he be the first Pope to attend a college basketball game?
BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV makes history as the first pope ever to vote in a U.S. election.
The Vatican confirms the first American-born pope, Robert Francis Prevost, has submitted a mail-in ballot in his home state of Illinois ahead of the November midterms, exercising his right to vote as a U.S. citizen.
The Chicago-born pontiff continues to maintain his American citizenship while leading the Catholic Church. | @marthamaccallum @AmericaNewsroom
A while back Darren said lawyers shouldn’t case aspersions on other lawyers. Guess that was a temporary position. Not sure anyone gets to claim the moral high ground in such matters but many still try.
Bookmarked!
Can’t keep track of college hoops’ eligibility madness?
I built a tracker of every high-major player involved in a lawsuit and their eligibility status as of today, plus some notable mid-major guys worth monitoring.
