🏦 Fed decision this Wednesday. Here’s why the first market move may not tell you much.
In September 2024, the Fed surprised with a 50 bps cut. The S&P 500 initially jumped as much as 1%, then reversed and closed 0.29% lower.
History tells a similar story:
📉 1998: stocks briefly retested their lows after the Fed began cutting, then recovered to new highs by December.
📉 2019: the S&P 500 fell 5.6% after the first cut before recovering and reaching a new high by October.
Now, the Fed meets again on October 28. Markets currently put the probability of a hike at only around 9-10%, with a hold overwhelmingly expected.
So the real question may not be “hike or hold?” It’s what the Fed signals comes next. 👀

Anthropic has publicly filed for its IPO, with trading potentially beginning before Thanksgiving.
Market speculation points to a massive $100B offering at a $2T valuation, although the company has not disclosed its fundraising target.
That can potentially surpass SpaceX's record $86B IPO, making Anthropic's listing a historic test of investor appetite for AI.

Pantera's Sept 2026 tokenization report, in one line:
"Issuing a token does not ensure it will trade, reach a broad holder base, or find a role in lending and settlement."
$332B tokenized. ~$6.6B that passes a basic liquidity + distribution test.

📊 Who is actually buying RWAs?
Retail dominates by headcount: 96% of RWA buyers are under $1M.
But institutional buyers tell a different story:
🏦 Just 4.2% of buyers control 93% of the dollars - $38.8B.
Among identifiable demand, DAO & protocol treasuries lead with 66% ($8.2B), followed by individuals at 15% ($1.8B) and CEX custody at 9% ($1.1B).
Retail brings the users. Institutions bring the capital.
🏦 Wall Street's biggest banks kick off earnings season tomorrow!
