We grinded for so long, just to end up here! The @0xCitadel wraps up in a few hours & I can honestly say I've not sunk this many hours into a game in years. Adrenaline pumped through me during every encounter. The thrill, the action. It was truly incredible. As a tribute, I created this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing the Beta. o7

Serious question folks. If every reward in your favourite web3 game vanished tomorrow... Would you still log in? No tokens. No airdrop. No leaderboard payout. Just the game. The P2E era already proved you can't farm your way to a lasting game. The games that survive the next year will be the ones people play for fun. Be honest: which one would you still play?

Oh, you've got an army? That's cute. @EVE_Frontier's Riders just took down 20,000 Feral Drones as ONE community target. Not a guild. Not a clan. The whole Frontier. SURGE ended and the goal was accomplished! This is what gaming should feel like: shared goals, real stakes, every kill counts. What's the best community event you've ever been part of?

My early find radar is still undefeated. I put you on @StarstoneTales before it hit Steam. Now it's on Steam, iOS & Android, running early access tournaments, & TODAY it's game night: ⏰ 16:00 UTC 📍 The @enjin Discord 🎁 ENJ infused NFTs up for grabs & some wicked ingame prizes. Who's pulling up?

Ronin, Immutable, Enjin,... I still don't care. Look at the last 2 weeks: @InfinityRisingX shipped 0.4.6 in pre-alpha. @OSP_TD dropped Starfall & a Roblox update. @misfitgalaxymmo went quiet, then came back with Rifts & a November tease. Meanwhile the TL is still arguing about which chain is king. Players don't pick chains. They pick games. Which team is shipping the hardest right now?

Most games struggle to build a real in-game economy. The Citadels closed beta showed what it looks like when loops actually work. The playtest ran from Sep 30th - Oct 16th & the numbers speak for themselves: 💰 15.65M ORE earned 🔥 13.02M ORE spent ⚖️ 83.2% taken back by sinks Halfway through, the team introduced their first taste of the ingame economy: Player owned Stores. The numbers, well they didn't dissapoint: 🔹2,187,750 ORE traded 🔹9,420 items changed hands 🔹33 pilots running their own stores 🔹1.0M ORE taken in by player stores 🔹Biggest single sale: 25,000 ORE And this was only the BASIC stores. This is one of the many reasons I believe in the team building @0xCitadel: They understand the most basic economic principle: supply and demand.

Everyone talks tokens, nobody talks sinks. Gaming token this, gaming token that. Having a token is all good & well but how have so few games got true token sinks? For the people that don't know, a sink takes tokens OUT of circulation: Repairs. Crafting. Upgrades. Cosmetics. No sinks = price dumps. Rewards get players in. Sinks keep the economy alive. What's the best sink you've seen in a game?

Creators this one mistake is ruining your brand. I ran an AI audit on a web3 gaming post today and the results were shocking! 222 replies. 153 accounts. Around 87% were hype, reworded promo or copy-paste lines. Only about 24 replies were real conversations. Then I ran the same check on one of my own posts. Way smaller numbers, but 44% of the replies were people actually debating the idea. Here's the thing people seem to forget: Projects can do this now too. In minutes they can see who's replying, how old the accounts are, how much of it is farmed, and whether your audience actually cares. Engagement groups might pump your numbers, but they're quietly hurting your credibility with the exact teams you want to work with. 20 real replies beat 200 "LFG 🔥" every time. Build a real audience. It's slower, but it's the only one that's worth anything.

This resonates so hard. One of the main reasons I support the Funk so much is his willingness to be honest & not fake like most founders. The reality is that web3 gaming is in shambles and absolutely everyone is to blame, chains, creators & founders. Gaming chains don't do enough for their games nor it's creators, nor do they do anything really, except cause divide. When's the last time you saw a gaming chain actually contribute anything truly positive to web3 gaming? Gaming projects, man, don't even get me started. There is about 5 of them that are great. The rest? They disrespect creators so hard. Creators got bills to pay, food to put on the table and yet you want to pay them pennies or even worse ingame items? Get out of here. Gets worse though, most projects hire the wrong creators entirely, I mean who in their right mind hires based on "vibes" rather than numbers. You're not suppose to hire people based on vibes, but on metrics, honestly, how hard can it be ey? No surprise the creators that actually have numbers and got the quality content end of leaving or just taking the easy way out. And man, Creators... there are some awesome af creators in this space. But in order to change and mature an ecosystem we oughta stop taking the easy paydays, but how can I even advocate that cus people gotta eat & pay bills?! Truth is Chains & projects put their trust into the wrong circles, the wrong DAOs & creators and now us lot, the ones left here are paying the price. Ain't no surprise my little brother (irl) @Attis_gaming peaced out on everyone, if anyone knows where tf this guy is dm me btw cus he's totally vanished of the planet. Anyway, back to topic. It's not until all 3 align that we will see change, until then shit ain't changing around here. Rant done, thanks for attending my ted talk. PS: if you're gonna make any sorta passive aggressive post about this atleast have the guts to @ me this time.
"DON'T SHARE YOUR DOWN MOMENTS IN WEB3 ANDREW, YOU WILL LOSE SUPPORT." nah. imma do it anyway. Just woke up from too little sleep and feeling very tired emotionally. Been working diligently for the past 2 hours while every inch of my mind and body has given up on Web3. I'm starting to feel like I was conned into believing in something that is not real. All the money goes to scammers, shysters, con-artists and thieves. Huge grants go to people who build nothing. VC invests in rubbish that can only increase their money with rug pulls. Every chain I have met with is small, almost no community. They all gave so much money to incompetent liars and slick white paper makers that they have nothing left to help us real builders market or amplify genuine products. I feel like we are on our own. There are so few trustworthy content creators that you can't even trust the genuine ones. Just mercenaries everywhere who post content because they are paid to. There are very few actual gamers. The more you amplify your project, the more you get bombarded by jobbers and extractors. I wanted to build here so that players could sell their inventory to each other, but the tech is so damned expensive and complicated, and chains want you to use their internal systems, but there are simply not any players there. We are expected to build their communities for them with no help whatsover. No financial help, no real amplification, no real vision. But launch some scammy token and some NFT that looks like every other NFT with zero utility and they amplify that crap like it's the next gold mine. I'll keep building and probably feel better in a few hours when my brain chemicals stabilize, but right now I have to calibrate my 'why'. I came here to fund our real-world charity and change the lives of people playing our games and I find myself wondering if I am not building something that will hurt more people than help them. But I am a man who finishes what he starts, so I will see this through to the end and give it every possible chance to succeed. I will work with anyone who wants to build, try every chain until I find some that are as passionate as we are about changing lives, and work with creators until we find some who actually want to build. I see all the negative things and I often feel like I have made a big mistake building here, but I will hold on to my delusional optimism that Web3 is what I thought it was when I came here 4 years ago, a technology that can change lives for the better. Anyhoo. I shall now eat some breakfast and probably feel all happy and positive about Web3 in a few hours again.

Might actually go play DMZ now. Seeing all this crying over PvP from players wanting to just PvE makes me want to download the game and grief them into quitting 😭. PvP > PvE everytime
Respectfully, I'm sorry man. I'll die on this hill. Go play division, go play destiny. Stop trying to ruin extraction shooters, which by design have risk, because you guys want participation medals. It's an FPS game, not a first person bot shooter. Games gone, you're all soft

EP 1: Creators that are worth hiring. Gaming projects, listen up! Are you struggling to gain exposure & onboard new users? Constantly receiving cold DMs, hiring creators & seeing no results? Well, this one is for you! Every week I will highlight 6 Creators that are truly worth their money. Without further ado, here we go:⬇️ 💫@VolcanicQT: This mans videos are next level, from watching them, you will quickly understand that he plays the games he speaks about & also researches the project thoroughly. His engagement is top notch & having seen his previous work and metrics whilst also being multi platform, he is worth having on your team! 💫@Hoseki_jkp: This lady is multi platform & her videos are total cinema. The effects are incredible, the information provided is top notch and super entertaining! On top of that she also provides us with behind the camera insights topped up with her natural charm! She's loved among creators & has a solid gamer audience, which means she will bring you new gamers & not extractors! 💫@nicropulus: This hero is quickly becoming one of the most recognised creators in this space with his banging guitar lessons & songs! He's multi platform, only endorses games he genuinely plays & he's super humble! 10/10 Creator & an amazing human being! 💫@MistaGreat_1: I call him MistaGoat, and that's for a reason because when he cooks, he cooks good & hard! He's loved by all that ever interacted with him & well respected! He's never shy to speak his opinion & he's entitled to do that because this man works hard & delivers! 💫@Enissay: This man has embraced his status as an OG & respected creator and speaks facts in public. He's multi platform, multi langual, has his own audience outside of this X bubble & he's genuinely here to make the space better as he's also got a kickass IRL job, so the time he spends here is for the good of the space, not for a quick buck. If you ask me, that's someone I would definitely want on my side as a gaming project! 💫@lancelottepath: He's funny, he's creative & brings people onboard! Lance may be a smaller account but he brings excellent results, creative content & real numbers so he's the perfect creator to help your project grow whilst he is growing himself! The 6 above are just the start of a list I've been curating over the past couple of months. The list was carefully curated by analysing every post, every engagement, referral link usage, etc so I can say what I have above with full confidence. Next set of creators will drop Wednesday, who would you like to see?!

All it takes is one single Project. I rather build with 1 project slow & steady than to continously endorse multiple projects. Call me crazy or delusional but I'm not here to collect paychecks, I'm here to find a game that I truly love & enjoy playing and build alongside. In traditional gaming having a relationship with Founders, CEOs & devs is virtually non existent, but the beauty of this space is that Founders will genuinely speak to the unknown guy (aka me) and listen. That's why I'm here, that is why I believe in web3 gaming.

Web3 Gaming isn't about playing to earn. That mindset is what holds the space back. The theory that you can spend hours playing a game & earn enough to live has already been proven to not be sustainable. Sure you have risk-to-earn games such as Cambria & BR1 which allow you to generate a profit, but it's not reliable enough to create a sustainable life, at least not in high income countries such as the UK, Portugal, US etc. Right now, the best use case of blockchain in gaming has already been showcased by Rooks & King's in their Eve Frontier video. Which I bet most "Gaming Creators" have probably not even heard of nor watched. The reason I mention this is because that Video was created by one of the most respected groups in gaming, it showcases the blockchain features, the utility it provides & it showcases perfectly that crypto isn't this horrible bad place gamers think it is. Once we have a game that doesn't die during alpha, then we can use "ownership" as a selling point, but until that happens even that does not truly exist because any NFT you "owned" from games that have shut down are worthless & therefore that's a horrible selling point. So, now. It's time to drop the mindset of "Games have to make their players money to succeed" & embrace what gaming in this space should really be about.
This isn't ragebait, clickbait or a joke. I genuinely want to have a meaningful discussion. Web3 gaming is in a really tough spot right now, and I want to keep believing in it and pushing it forward. But man, it's been ages since I've made money while actually having fun. "But what about Cambria Gold Rush?" I spent 7 days creating content, playing 8 hours a day and genuinely having fun. But I didn't make any money because I didn't reach a specific milestone. I'm not saying Cambria is bad. It's not. But it's been a while since a Web3 game has made me genuinely invested in its economy and excited to build alongside its community. Most things I've engaged with have either gone nowhere or ended in disappointment. A lot of people ask me if I'm going to mint X or invest in Y, and honestly, I don't want to. Not because they're necessarily bad investments. Some are already established enough that they could still do a solid 2x or 3x. I just want something new to believe in. Something I can discover early, get invested in, push alongside the community and watch grow. I don't want to keep jumping into things that are already at the top. I want to help build something that gets there. I'll most likely be playing Cambria when it launches. It's still my favorite Web3 game and, quite literally, the most fun I've had playing any Web3 game. This isn't a criticism of Cambria. I just wanted to share what's been on my mind lately. I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Where is Web3 gaming heading? What needs to change? Are there games or ecosystems right now that have given you a reason to believe again? PS: I don't give a fuck if your entire argument is that "Web3 gaming is dead." Give me reasons. Give me data. Explain what went wrong and why. I'm looking for actual discussion, not people hating for the sake of hating.

The phrase: "Which I bet most "Gaming Creators" have probably not even heard of nor watched." Was not aimed at other creators in any shape or form. The statement was to reflect that even though we as gaming creators here do a great job at covering everything, unfortunately the video was only posted on Youtube (and is also 54 minutes long lol) and it was has not had enough publicity nor endoresement by @EVE_Frontier here on twitter so it is not known amongst us "Gaming Creators". The " " are used as I really don't know how to refer to us, are we just creators are we gaming creators or what are we suppose to be labelled. I thank my good friend @Enissay for pointing out how this could have been read. While speaking on a space, the tone of voice clarifies everything, this can sometimes be lost when writing posts in text.

Why does a game need blockchain? Well, I mean... So I can record that I blew up your ship and it stays there for eternity. No newbie safe from me in @EVE_Frontier.

This is what keeps players coming back... I got an access code from @keyofjoshua, and after finishing character creation, I was instantly greeted by a random @NotABot hanging out near the start. Ended up talking to me & keeping me company while I went through the tutorial, needless to say: This alone will make me jump back into @InfinityRisingX to explore the game more! Watch us emote together for the vibes and keep an eye out for a proper gameplay video dropping soon!

Gaming Creators, I need you to listen up, this is important. I've been receiving a lot of heat recently from you creators for some posts that I made. Some of you even stooped as low as name calling, like we're in high school or something. So, I've come here to apologise to..... Absolutely fucking nobody. I am critical. I do expect more of you. I will continously point out the bs that I see. And sure sometimes I get it wrong and I own it when I do, but guess what. The truth also is: I put you guys the fuck on when it's time to cook. I have singlehandedly handed out more opportunities than 99% of other creators and that's a fact. I do not gatekeep. I do not engagement farm pretending to have opportunities. When I say it's cooking time... It's mf cooking time! When I find opportunities you best know I send out 20+ DMs telling people to cook. And if ya'll take it & mess it up or it doesn't work out, imma be in your DMs coaching, helping, advising what to do next. Because I want you guys to WIN and I want us to get that bread. So for real, for any of you mfs who wanna hate, go for it, you do you. But if you wanna make it and eat good, stick around, be present. I been doing this shit for over half a decade. I may be harsh, but the people in my circle will cook & eat.
