A Young Life Needs Timely Medical Care. Can You Help Abhimanyu? 🙏
18-year-old Abhimanyu’s life took a difficult turn on July 21, when he accidentally ingested acid. Since then, he and his family have been navigating a challenging medical journey.
Following initial treatment and surgery at @SJHDELHI, Abhimanyu was referred for further treatment and medical evaluation at @aiims_newdelhi and other hospitals. He currently has a feeding jejunostomy tube and is unable to eat normally by mouth. According to his family, they are also facing leakage complications during feeding.
Despite repeatedly visiting hospitals, the family says they are struggling to secure timely appointments and access the further medical care he needs. Each passing day brings greater uncertainty and anxiety for them.
Abhimanyu needs more than another waiting date. He needs timely medical attention and the right guidance.
Through this appeal, Chhanv Foundation urges the concerned hospital authorities, medical professionals, and individuals who can help to look into Abhimanyu’s case and support the family in accessing the necessary medical evaluation and treatment.

We were delighted to welcome Erico Hiller, acclaimed Brazilian documentary photographer, to our Noida Centre once again.
Erico has previously documented the journeys of our Sheroes, and his photographs continue to adorn our wall gallery, preserving their stories through his lens.
During his latest visit, Erico captured more stories of our Sheroes, toured our Noida Centre, explored Sheroes Stpre, and had a wonderful conversation with our Founder, @alteralok, at our in-house studio, @thesheroestv.
Known for documenting humanitarian and social realities across the world, Erico continues to bring meaningful human stories into focus through his photography.

On 21st October, Chhanv Foundation, in collaboration with Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), participated in an awareness and professional development session at DSB International School, Mumbai.
Our Founder, @alteralok, along with @SaaReetu and Soniya Khan, presented a detailed overview of Chhanv Foundation’s work, highlighting our efforts in the rehabilitation, advocacy, skill development, and empowerment of acid attack survivors through initiatives like @SheroesHangout Cafés and Sheroes Store.
Ritu and Soniya also participated in a panel discussion, sharing perspectives on survivor empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, and the importance of creating an inclusive society that enables survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.

A personal dispute turned into an alleged act of acid violence in Lucknow. According to reports, a man was arrested for allegedly throwing acid at another man he suspected of having an affair with his wife.
Whatever the circumstances, suspicion, anger, or betrayal can never justify violence that may change someone’s life forever. Acid is not a weapon for revenge. Its consequences can extend far beyond the moment of an attack, causing severe injuries, prolonged medical treatment, emotional trauma, and lasting challenges for victims and their families.
No personal conflict gives anyone the right to inflict such harm. Every victim deserves justice, proper medical care, and support throughout recovery. Acts of acid violence demand serious attention, accountability, and strict legal action.
Revenge is not justice. Violence is never the answer.
