Nice review of Sketches of Minnesota by @dangerboatpro, “the importance of conversation and power of humor to help us see each other and ourselves.”
Thanks @AnnT!

Been working on this for a couple months. First episode is out on Wednesday. We have some really great guests running some fascinating companies across Minnesota - you should tune in.
This week, our team is excited to announce the launch of a new project, The Twin Cities Business Show. You'll find the first full episode on Wednesday on our YouTube page or wherever you listen to podcasts. We will post highlights from each episode here! @charlierybak
So depressed after reading Adam Platt’s commentary in today’s Star Tribune. He highlights problems with fraud, schools, and infrastructure projects. And what good am I on any of them? Minnesotans are upset about a lot of things, and I am almost no help at all. 😔
You should read @plattMSP’s @StribOpinion piece. He is a forceful writer. It leaves me hoping I can do something in the year ahead to make Minnesotans have less cause for such anger and criticism. startribune.com/mn-social-se…
Last night my Minneapolis neighborhood of Kingfield hosted its first “Indoor Porchfest.” A late-fall friendly spin on their popular outdoor music festival, they turned a former church into three floors of local bands with some great rockabilly, jazz, and even sea shanties. 🎤🎸⚓️
I talked about this on the City Cast Twin Cities podcast today. But the graphics make it much more comprehensible.
How did the "Don't Rank Frey" slate strategy fare in 2025?
Just like in 2021, a lot of voters didn't play along.
~40% of Davis voters + 64% of Hampton voters did not rank Fateh
1/4 of Davis voters + 2/5 of Hampton voters ranked Frey 2nd

Good questions here and it sounds like @TaneDanger pressed on follow up! Good! Candidates have been getting away with platitudes. Worth the read 👇

Yesterday I moderated a Minneapolis mayoral debate with Jacob Frey, Omar Fateh, DeWayne Davis and Jazz Hampton. This article outlines some of the key differences that emerged and a video of the whole thing is here to watch. I hope you will: kstp.com/kstp-news/top-news/…
On Sunday, I’m running the Twin Cities Marathon. Then on Monday I’m doing something of a political marathon, moderating mayoral candidate forums in both Twin Cities. A Minneapolis mayoral forum Monday morning, then a St. Paul mayoral forum Monday evening. 🏃♂️😥
Kudos to @mlahammer and @bloisolson for doing the hard work of moderating today’s Minneapolis mayoral debate. We need more candidate programs like this where we empower smart moderators to ask questions and push candidates for substantive answers.
Earlier this summer, I wrote an op-ed arguing we needed a real debate in the Minneapolis mayoral race. I’m grateful that the @CitizensLeague, @MplsDowntown and @MplsChamber took the idea and ran with it this morning. You’ll hear it on @wccoradio and see it on @tptAlmanac tonight.

Just finished my last ever workout at the Uptown LA Fitness. I’ve been coming here since it first opened, when there were stores, bars and improv all around it. Loved being able to ride my bike here, and the kind folks I met between sets. Sad to have to say goodbye.
There are few failed public works that annoy me more than a broken clock tower. In a time when many people’s timepiece is in their pockets, I think these serve a value and show be fixed. startribune.com/chanhassen-c…
