First-grade students at Sampson-Howard Elementary enjoyed a special Hidden Harvest presentation led by a local farmer! Students learned about the important role bees play in our environment, explored different vegetables, and even got to sample delicious, fresh local honey. Students at Western Hills Elementary got creative with a fun fall writing activity! Students responded to the prompt, “If I were a pumpkin, how would I want to be used?” Students used their imaginations to come up with unique, creative, and thoughtful ideas. Wheatley Education Center hosted an exciting Career Fair today featuring more than 20 presenters! Students had the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths, visit informational booths, ask questions, and learn about the education, skills, and opportunities available in different fields. Hiland Dairy visited Raye Allen Elementary School yesterday to teach first-grade students about the journey milk takes from the farm to the cafeteria. Students learned about the milking process and how milk makes its way to their school. Students had the opportunity to "milk the cow". What a fun, hands-on way to learn where their milk comes from! 🐮💙 #TempleISDproud

Lamar Middle School celebrated 70 years of memories, tradition, and Bearcat pride this evening with a special reunion and celebration! Alumni returned to campus to reconnect, reminisce, and even perform alongside current students in the band, orchestra, and choir, making the evening extra special. The celebration also welcomed former band directors Linda Fairlie and Bob Nelson, former orchestra director Nathaniel Kiefer, and many former Lamar teachers who came together to honor the school’s rich history and lasting impact on generations of students. #TempleISDproud

Temple High School Pet Spa was a huge success today! Just look at all those happy pups! Our Vet Science students did an amazing job pampering their furry guests and making sure every furbaby received lots of care and attention. We are so proud of these students for putting their skills into action and giving our four-legged friends a little extra love!

Today was the first meeting of the Superintendent Student Advisory Council! This group is made up of Temple High School juniors and seniors who applied and were selected to represent Temple Independent School District. This council provides an opportunity for students to have a voice, share their experiences, and help shape positive changes in TISD. We can’t wait to see the great ideas and leadership that come from this group! #TempleISDproud
