@TerrierMRow Head Coach, Tom Bohrer, shares his thoughts on some of the focus with the team going into the win over Syracuse, via an FSN Teleconference Media Availability: Tom Bohrer: “It was a great race for us. The Varsity Eight has had a good season. We started out against Navy, and then had a really close race with Northeastern within a half a second, had a good row against Cornell, and we knew that coming into this [Syracuse Race] we had an opportunity to race some of the other teams that were higher ranked than us and going out there to execute. We had been rowing well and going into it just being excited. Syracuse and BU, we’ve a long history of racing where we’ve traded places a lot obviously in the last three or four years, we’ve not had the strength that we’ve wanted to or been on the other side of it, so it was just a really good feeling and I was really happy for the guys because they raced well and they knew they had a good race. We know that Syracuse has a great team. Someone’s gotta win, and I’m glad that it was us on that day.”

@TerrierMRow Head Coach, Tom Bohrer, shares how one win within the team is a testament to the strength of the whole team at the end of the day, via an FSN Teleconference Media Availability: Tom Bohrer: “When I see the team, it’s not just the Varsity, we have five eights of guys this year which is the biggest strength that we’ve had, a lot of young guys and they’re just getting better week to week, and I think with the Varsity winning that race [against Syracuse] was a win for the whole team and I think the whole team took a lot of pride in that.”

@TerrierMRow Head Coach, Tom Bohrer, shares how much focus he’s put into individual coaching and 1:1’s with guys to help boost the Terriers both physically, emotionally, and mentally, via an FSN Teleconference Media Availability: Tom Bohrer: “I meet a lot 1:1 with guys and see how they are doing and how they can get better… I made sure that I did more of that this year than maybe some of the other years, and I think it’s paying off.”

@TerrierMRow Head Coach, Tom Bohrer, tells FSN the beneficial advice he shares with his team on the difference between being a solid friend and teammate to one another, but really how that overlaps into ordinary life outside of rowing, via an FSN Teleconference Media Availability: Tom Bohrer: “We always say on the team, there’s a difference between being a good friend and a good teammate, we have to know those differences, and that’s the same in the real world, whether you’re raising kids, a coworker, and things like that — being upfront and really getting to know your people, I think is really really important.”
