Thanksgiving is just one day. But really, we should practice gratitude constantly. To help dedicate the whole month of November to giving thanks, @brettmccracken created a new playlist of 30 songs all about giving thanks to God.

A must read
For years I have read @TGC, so it was an honor to write this essay on the shortcomings of the secular philosophy of Effective Altruism.
At first glance, its call to do the most good possible sounds like something Jesus might say.
Yet Christianity places those truths inside a much larger story, one where goodness is defined not by our calculations but by God himself.

They’re not necessarily the five you’d expect!
Five important Latin phrases appear throughout Martin Luther’s writings. This Reformation Day, consider these five which serve as a good summary of his life and chief theological emphases.

Incredible!!
Two young Christian men are serving prison sentences in one of Iran’s hardest prisons. They’re there because they refuse to stop preaching about Jesus.
When asked how to pray for them, their answer wasn’t what you might expect.
“Pray that we would not be released until our job here is finished,” they said. They had led numerous fellow prisoners to faith. Now, their chief concern was to remain inside long enough to disciple them.

Thanks to @TGC for asking me to write this review. Despite the two omissions (both noted in my review), deBoer’s newest manifesto re: therapy culture is an important and scathing critique - and from an “old school Marxist” no less.
𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘥 is not a memoir but a pragmatic antimemoir seething with a holy discontent that challenges both performative mental illness and the also voyeurism that incentivizes it.

Twenty-eight years ago tonight, Dave took a stand for Jesus at a party.
God used it to change my life.
If God can save me, He can save anyone.
Take a moment to read my story of grace.
(This picture was taken at that party just after Dave arrived)
