Meet the people leading Team1 Africa 🌍🔺 Across the continent, our country leads are growing local communities, connecting people and creating more opportunities for Africans to get involved in the @avax ecosystem. Get to know the people leading Team1 Africa a little better below 👇

One Continent. Many Voices. Today, Team1 Africa officially launches. The work started years ago. Team1 communities across Africa have been running workshops, university programs, and builder meet-ups in their own cities. Our progress so far: 🔺 120+ events 🔺 3,500 + attendees 🔺 250+ developers activated 🔺 Across 10 countries Africa is home to 1.5 billion people and the youngest population of any continent. Builders here solve problems they face every day, from sending money across borders to reaching customers that banks overlook. The missing piece has been the connection. A developer in Kenya rarely knows the one in Ghana working on the same problem. Team1 Africa links these communities into one network. Each country keeps its own culture, language, and way of doing things. We make sure they can find each other. Across Africa, we will focus on: 🔺 Developer workshops and technical education 🔺 Hackathons and opportunities to build 🔺 Stablecoin adoption 🔺 University programs and student communities 🔺 Founder support and ecosystem connections 🔺 Community meetups and events 🔺 Creator and community initiatives 🔺 Cross-border collaboration 🔺 Pathways into the global Avalanche ecosystem We want more African developers shipping products, more founders building companies, and more homegrown ideas reaching users far beyond the city where they started. Welcome to Team1 Africa. Come build with us.
