Great article. I think people, myself included, sometimes forget just how overwhelmingly positive his legacy is, even with the ‘six weeks of madness’.
Many may have questioned him on the way up, but once we got there, nobody was suggesting he should stop. This picture says it all

Joseph I'm really grateful for your grandad. I'm russian Bradford City supporter who started to support the club during his period & I'm so happy about that, was very lucky to meet him personally, great respect & RIP

Thats brilliant Jason and fitting. GR promised "the promised land" and delivered it. Which one of us would not have taken it despite how it all ended. I met him a few times always a big smile & hello. "Sir" Geoffrey of Richmond ladies & gentlemen thank you for the memories🐓

I absolutely love reading @TheWidthofaPost regardless of whether we have won, lost or draw. But this is possibly my favourite article they've ever written. Transported me back to the good (and the bad) times instantly. RIP Geoffrey and keep up the amazing work WOAP team.

It’s funny when I started watching City in the early 90’s, it did feel like a small club and is something I’d forgotten about until you described it. The ride was incredible and I agree, despite the depths we have hit since, the memories of those days will last forever.

Fantastic read Jason. Made it very easy to feel all those feelings and memories of the time again like I was living it all over. Sleep easy big dreamer 😔

Jason, I am Geoffrey Richmond’s grandson. My family and I very much enjoyed your article - thank you

Jason, very well written. My thoughts exactly. One Geoffrey Richmond. For anyone who missed those years, this is what VP looked like prior to GR. The clubs ambitions looked similar. The stadium and the expectations of the following home & away are all legacies from the GR years.

Outstanding piece that Jason, it doesn’t overlook how it unravelled but ultimately football & sport is about memories and there are plenty from the Richmond era. A packed 24k VP on Saturday was perhaps a tribute in itself

I was really sad yesterday hearing the news. Fantastic memories. I wouldn't swap his time. Yes we had bad times after but what a ride. Thank you for believing in Bradford City, building our stadium and getting us to the Premier League.
In my eyes, a legend.
RIP Mr Chairman.
