What a gift by the one and only MJ 🩵
The largest single gift in the @UNC School of Social Work's history, @UNC_Basketball alum Michael Jordan '86 made a historic $10 million commitment to @UNC_SSW in honor of his mother, Deloris P. Jordan.

On Oct. 5, #UNCSSW celebrated the $10 million commitment Michael Jordan made in honor of his mother, Deloris P. Jordan. The largest gift in the school’s history will rename the Global Social Development Innovations Center — established in 2017 — as the Deloris P. Jordan Global Social Development Innovations Center, strengthen the Jordan Institute for Families, which Michael Jordan established in 1996 and provide scholarships to students pursuing a Master of Social Work degree.
The investment will expand opportunities for global social work research, education, community engagement and support for scholars and faculty. These global partnerships will create reciprocal opportunities both internationally and in North Carolina.
