How can AI transform the way Uganda generates, analyses and uses data?📊
Young innovators came together for the Youth AI & Data Innovation Sprint, organised by @StatisticsUg in partnership with @UNDPUganda, to explore practical applications of Generative AI in improving statistical production, data quality, analysis and accessibility.
Working in multidisciplinary teams, participants developed AI-powered solutions to real-world data challenges, demonstrating the potential of youth-led innovation to strengthen Uganda's data ecosystem.

The sprint also provided a platform for young innovators to engage with data experts and mentors, while exploring responsible applications of AI in official statistics.
With generous support from #PartnersAtCore from Korea 🇰🇷 through the @UNDPSPC, @UNDPUganda and @StatisticsUg are investing in young people's capacity to harness emerging technologies and develop solutions that can strengthen how data informs decision-making.

What happens when dairy farmers turn surplus milk into ghee and yoghurt? 🥛
In Isingiro and Nakasongola, surplus milk has often meant lost income for farmers due to limited market access. Through the @UNDP #SCALA pilot project, farmer groups are adopting dairy value addition practices to reduce milk loss, extend shelf life and open doors to new markets.
Our latest blog explores how these efforts are creating new income opportunities, strengthening rural livelihoods and highlighting the potential for private sector investment in Uganda's cattle corridor.🐄
