UPDATE: The Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, has taken decisive steps in response to the incident, reaffirming the Command’s unwavering commitment to accountability and its zero tolerance for misconduct. No uniform is a licence to intimidate, harass, or violate the rights of any citizen. The uniform is a symbol of service, trust, and responsibility, and anyone who abuses that trust must be prepared to face the consequences. We understand the anger and concern such incidents generate, and we assure the public that no officer will be shielded from accountability if found culpable. The dignity of every citizen matters, and we remain committed to protecting the rights of the people we are sworn to serve.
It keeps getting worst 🤦

Election is just months away (January 2027 is closer than most of us think). But be honest with yourself. Do you actually know your rights as a voter under Nigerian law, or are you still running on “they said” and WhatsApp forwards? Repost to educate others ♻️💜

The law further protects the integrity of the voter register and the accreditation process through BVAS (Sections 9, 12 and 47). Don’t wait until election day to discover these rights. Open your Case Radar app and simply ask, “What are my rights as a voter under Nigerian law?”

After voting, the Presiding Officer must count the ballots and announce the result right there at the polling unit. The same officer is also required to transmit Form EC8A electronically to the IReV portal (Section 60).

The 1999 Constitution and the Electoral Act 2026 are clear. Every Nigerian citizen who has attained the age of 18 and is resident in Nigeria at the time of voter registration has the right to be registered and to vote. This is why you should download the Case Radar app.

We assisted a middle aged woman to secure release of her son who was unjustly incarcerated for 7 months in Kirikiri prison. She came to the office yesterday and during her long prayers, she said “e ni ri ogun ejo o”. Biti bawo, iya yi?

If someone in your house looks dead, don't call the police. You are automatically digging your grave, if you know how Nigerian Police takes these matters especially if you don't have money. You go suffer. Under the law, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty, but once you report to the police you will be presumed guilty until proven innocent which can take years. Take the person to the nearest hospital, it is the duty of a doctor to declare someone dead and also since you are not a doctor, you may be wrong to think the person is already dead. Taking the person to the hospital gives them a chance to be resuscitated by the doctors and if they fail to revive the person, they can then declare the person dead. That is when you can then call your lawyer. If you don't have a lawyer already, we built @UseCaseRadar for you so you can easily sign up at caseradar.ai or download the Case Radar app and connect with lawyers no matter the time and no matter the place you are. You should only report crimes to the police and since you didn't kill the person, I really don't know why you are reporting yourself to the police. If I were to be your lawyer, and you contact me, the next thing would be to help you contact the family of the person. The family can then report to the police themselves if they have reasonable grounds to suspect that you killed the person and we can take it up from there.
