Nobody will beat you for admitting you were wrong. Yes, there are some that will try to bully you, but you should also have principles that guide your behaviour. Enough self-awareness to recognise when you’ve fallen short.
There’s this strange pedestal people put others on here that leaves absolutely no room for mistakes. Please, allow people to be human once in a while. Nobody gets everything rightand making a mistake doesn’t automatically make you a terrible person. What’s unacceptable is becoming so prideful that you’re unwilling to acknowledge when you’ve erred.

I LOVE Nollywood as an industry and I’m invested in seeing it grow as such I love to see broader representations of it beyond the VCD era Nollywood nostalgia tropes. I also love nuanced representations of Nigerians, our accents, the ways we behave etc. It’s my preference. It’s fine that you enjoyed the sketch, I love that for you. If you felt proud of its representation, I love that for you too. It just wasn’t for me and that’s okay. I still love the Cynthia and British/Naija creatives that worked on it.
