If you are a girl in Afghanistan, the Taliban has decided your future for you.
You cannot attend a secondary school or university. You cannot find an open library where you can read, you see your mothers and your older sisters confined and constrained in a similar way.
You cannot leave the house on their own, not to work, not to go to the park not to get a haircut not to even see a doctor.

What does a five-year education plan mean for a child sitting in an overcrowded classroom, a girl without access to adequate sanitation, or a school struggling with too few teachers?
For Invictus Africa, the answer begins with funding.
Following the launch of the Oyo State Education Sector Plan 2026–2030, Invictus Africa has called on the Oyo State Government to translate its commitments into adequate budgetary allocations, targeted interventions, and accountability measures in the 2027 budget.
Oyo has already taken an important step by linking its education priorities with Gender-Responsive Education Budgeting and Spending (GREBS). With budget officers trained on the GREBS toolkit, the state can direct resources to learners' specific needs, ensuring girls, boys, and other vulnerable groups are not left behind.
The next step is to ensure these commitments are reflected in actual budget allocations, fund releases, and measurable improvements in schools. Because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, complete their education, and succeed.
As our Strategy and Programmes Officer, Tobacaleb Akanmu, said: “A plan is only as strong as the budget behind it, and the real test of this plan begins with the 2027 budget”.
Invictus Africa appreciates Malala Fund for its support in making this work possible and for advancing efforts towards more inclusive and equitable education.

When girls are denied education, poverty becomes an inheritance. Mothers pass on not their dreams, but the disadvantages imposed upon them. Afghanistan cannot break the cycle of poverty while keeping its daughters out of school.

Remember, he has thousands of followers, many of them young people. That alone should alarm the world.
It is deeply troubling and disappointing to see an Islamic scholar of such global prominence as Dr. @drzakiranaik rationalise the Taliban’s systematic exclusion of girls from education.
Presenting an indefinite ban as a mere “postponement” and invoking a shortage of female teachers without explaining how that shortage can be addressed is not a credible defence.
Such arguments risk legitimising the Taliban’s gender apartheid and lending religious credibility to a grave injustice.

آپ ہمیشہ بغضِ ملالہ میں خیانت اور تعصب کا شکار ہو جاتے ہیں۔ آپ ملالہ اور ہمارے متعلق کسی بھی پروپیگنڈے کو تحقیق اور سچائی کی کسوٹی پر پرکھے بغیر بڑے شوق اور محنت سے آگے بڑھاتے ہیں۔ آپ کے اس طرزِ عمل سے ہم سے زیادہ آپ کو نقصان پہنچتا ہے، کیونکہ یہ رویہ آپ کے ایمان اور اسلامی تعلیمات کے منافی ہے۔
سورۃ الحجرات کی یہ آیتِ مبارکہ آپ نے اپنے مقتدیوں اور معتقدین کو ضرور سمجھائی ہوگی:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَن تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ
ترجمہ: “اے ایمان والو! اگر کوئی فاسق (بدکردار شخص) تمہارے پاس کوئی خبر لے کر آئے، تو اچھی طرح تحقیق کر لیا کرو، کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم نادانی میں کسی قوم کو نقصان پہنچا بیٹھو اور پھر اپنے کیے پر پشیمان ہو۔”
آپ نے اپنے اس ٹویٹ میں بغیر کسی تحقیق کے نینسی سیڈلی کو ملالہ فنڈ کی انچارج کے طور پر متعارف کرایا ہے، حالانکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ موصوفہ کا ملالہ فنڈ سے دور دور کا بھی کوئی تعلق نہیں۔ وہ محض ایک سوشل میڈیا انفلوئنسر ہیں۔ اگر آپ ذرا سی محنت کرکے ان کے ٹویٹر اکاؤنٹ پر جاتے تو آپ کو آسانی سے اندازہ ہو جاتا کہ ان کی ٹویٹس میں میگن مرکل اور پرنس ہیری کے خلاف نفرت انگیزی اور ٹرولنگ کے علاوہ کچھ نظر نہیں آتا۔ ملالہ اور ملالہ فنڈ کے خلاف یہ پروپیگنڈا بھی اسی نفرت کا شاخسانہ ہے کہ ملالہ میگن مرکل سے کیوں ملی؟
آپ نے ہم پر بے ایمانی اور وطن کی عزت و ناموس کا سودا کرنے کا الزام لگایا ہے۔ آپ بغیر کسی ثبوت کے اتنے سخت اور بھاری الزامات کیسے لگا سکتے ہیں؟ ایک ادیب ہوتے ہوئے بھی آپ لفظوں کے معانی اور ان کی حرمت کو کیسے نظرانداز کر سکتے ہیں؟ کیا کسی کے خلاف ذاتی تعصب آپ کو اس بات کی اجازت دیتا ہے کہ آپ اس کی عزت اور کردار پر بغیر ثبوت کے حملہ کریں؟
اور آخر میں، آپ کو یہ بھی بتاتا چلوں کہ نوبل انعام کے منتظمین اپنی تاریخ میں جن نوبل انعام یافتگان پر فخر کرتے ہیں، ملالہ ان عظیم شخصیات کی فہرست میں شامل ہے۔ ملالہ یوسفزئی کی لڑکیوں کی تعلیم کے لیے جدوجہد کی کہانی دنیا بھر کے سکولوں اور یونیورسٹیوں میں پڑھائی جاتی ہے۔ ایک ہم وطن کی حیثیت سے یہ آپ کے لیے بھی باعثِ فخر ہونا چاہیے۔
ہم نے ۲۰۰۷ سے ۲۰۱۲ تک طالبان کی دہشت گردی اور لڑکیوں کی تعلیم پر پابندی کے خلاف آواز اٹھائی۔ گزشتہ ۱۳ سالوں سے ہم پوری شفافیت، دیانت داری اور خلوصِ نیت کے ساتھ دنیا بھر میں لڑکیوں کی تعلیم کے لیے جدوجہد کر رہے ہیں۔ ہمیں نہ اپنے کردار اور جدوجہد پر کوئی ندامت ہے اور نہ ہی کسی رسوائی کا ڈر۔
فارسی کا ایک خوبصورت مقولہ ہے:
زرِ پاک را از آتش چہ باک؟
یعنی خالص سونے کو آگ سے کیا ڈر؟
ہاں، اتنا ضرور ہے کہ:
چھوڑا نہیں غیروں نے کوئی ناوکِ دشنام
چھوٹی نہیں اپنوں سے کوئی طرزِ ملامت
اس عشق، نہ اس عشق پہ نادم ہے مگر دل
ہر داغ ہے اس دل میں بجز داغِ ندامت
