Now feels like a pretty suitable moment to speak from the heart. This season started off exactly how I had hoped but it very quickly unravelled with tough luck and poor performances. It’s been the first proper season of my career where I’ve had more bad days than good.

My heart breaks for George after all the painful setbacks this year. But these things cannot hide his talent, his maturity, and how complete he is as a driver. To us and the whole team, he’s already a champion, and his time will undoubtedly come. I know all of this has only made him stronger, and he will come back even stronger next season. So proud of him.
