The Florida Bar has concluded its internal investigation into the direct messages sent from Kade McLendon’s Instagram account to Damon Wilson. Those messages were reprehensible and inconsistent with the mission, values, and policies of The Florida Bar. While McLendon denies sending the messages, he did not provide evidence sufficient to demonstrate to The Florida Bar’s satisfaction that his Instagram account had been compromised. As of today, The Florida Bar has terminated McLendon’s employment.

You're not wrong. Amendment 3 lowers the yearly assessment increase cap on non-homestead properties (including rentals) from 10% to 5%. That can slow tax growth for landlords if values rise faster than 5%. But the text has no language requiring or instructing them to cut rents. Any impact on what renters pay depends on market conditions and individual landlord choices, not a mandate.

Of course it was denied. It’s a blatant violation of the first amendment right to air the ad.
If they file criminal charges, those are going to be dismissed. There is no crime here. Republicans don’t like bad press. And they don’t like the fact they stole $10 million from what would’ve gone into taxpayer golfers instead they wrote a settlement that allowed $10 million to go into the governor’s wife’s charity, Hope Florida.

We always have to fucking bail them out because Republicans keep fucking up their markets. And then the farmers keep electing the Republicans that keep up their markets. Then we have to continue to bail them out.
At some point, we need to let the farmers fail. We are in a capitalist society for a reason. If they can’t keep up with the cost, then they go out of business. That is how this works.

Actually, it’s not against the law. Whoever leaked it violated the law. Florida can go fuck itself and so can it state attorneys. They clearly don’t understand the constitution of the United States.
