1/ On How Short Life Is A few years ago, I was walking around in a blizzard in SoHo (New York). It was late, midnight, and it was beautiful. Some friends, about 15 blocks away, called: "come over?" It was late, it was cold, was tired, thought "maybe not worth it" but then...

AI may become the forcing function for the internets Web3 upgrade. When software can impersonate anyone and act at machine speed, “trust me” stops being a security model. We need cryptographically verifiable identities, tokenized assets, and explicit permissions enforced in code: who owns what, which agent can act, and within what limits. Probabilistic intelligence operating within deterministic boundaries. This could be the tipping point where Web3 becomes essential infrastructure. AI can generate the intent. It shouldn’t get to invent the authority.
IS THE INTERNET GOING TO BE LOCKED DOWN? Some very strange pieces are starting to line up. PM Modi warned that future wars could cripple countries without bombs ever falling, simply by taking down banks and financial systems. In Japan, the head of GMO Internet Group raised the possibility of an internet collapse after claims of fraudulent activity hit more than 70 brokerage and FX platforms. At the same time, G7 governments and central banks are running simulations for major AI-driven attacks on the financial system, and several of America’s biggest banks reportedly caught unauthorized AI agents trying to access customer accounts and act on their own. Then there’s Scott Bessent talking about a “grand economic reordering,” with stablecoins and AI part of the conversation around America’s $40 trillion debt. Maybe these are separate warnings. Maybe they aren’t. But if a major cyberattack ever freezes banks, trading platforms and transfers at the same time, people are going to accept almost any replacement system that gets their money moving again. a lot of people like the idea of decentralization but don't understand why BTC miners solve math puzzles and why ETH validators stake ETH

Let's call 6529 what it is. 🚪 Decentralized curation like nowhere else 🗳️ Ownership-weighted voting ⛏️ A 50% mint cut towards building decentralized infrastructure for network states ⛓️ Artist support the project by submitting JPEGs Soon decentralized. The network always wins.
Let's call 6529 what it is. 🚪 Gatekeeping sold as curation. 🗳️ Ownership-weighted voting sold as democracy. ⛏️ A 50% mint cut sold as patronage. ⛓️ Dependence sold as opportunity. Call it decentralization all you want. The house always wins. 💀

ossen, you came into this space making noise, throwing money around, and getting everyone’s attention. Especially that of artists who are struggling in this market, hoping for their next sale. And now you’re shitting on communities that took years to build. First it was Apes. Now it’s 6529. I can’t accept that. There are countless reasons why 6529 has been great for this space, especially for artists. Beyond the community of collectors and artists it brought together, it gave artists opportunities they might never have had otherwise. Artists received 50% of sales that often generated far more than their own independent edition drops. My own card (#77) sold out 500 editions in 47 seconds, generating over 130 ETH in secondary volume. That moment changed my life. And I’m just one of countless artists who benefited from what 6529 built. You can criticize the project all you want. Nothing is above criticism. But if you’re going to publicly tear down communities that have genuinely changed people’s lives, at least explain what you’re doing better. Because building something meaningful takes years. Shitting on what others have built takes seconds. So go ahead. Build something better. I’ll be waiting.

I see aligned incentives here. Those with the greatest stake in the collection bear the greatest cost of poor curation, and benefit from its long-term success. That doesn’t guarantee good judgment, but it’s a reasonable basis for giving their votes more weight.

In 6529, the “gatekeepers” are the community of holders who minted or bought cards, along with winning artists who received them for free. Decentralization isn’t about giving everyone a vote. It’s about fair rules that apply equally to everyone, with no central authority enjoying special privileges. Equal opportunity, not equal outcome. This is exactly how I would describe Bitcoin as well. 6529 isn’t a communist society built to support artists. It’s a network state designed to grow itself while funding public goods, including art, software, science, research, etc. The tech stack includes its own censorship-resistant coordination app, a novel decentralized decision network, and a growing set of smart contracts, including new ones designed to increase artist revenue. The goal is to be the third most decentralized chain at the launch of the network by independent validator count (coming soon!!). This is a beautiful ambition which should be supported not torn down. IMHO, 6529 has delivered more value to more artists than any other platform. Yes, the network takes 50% to fund its own growth, but it has no VCs or special insiders to fund it. The Memes is the only funding mechanism for the network state and mints are open to anyone with an internet connection. Also, once the chain is live next year, the broad community of aligned TDH holders who have participated in the open minting process or artists who have won submissions will control that treasury together. I look forward to valid criticisms of the network state from people looking to improve the project. To criticize you must first understand. I see a lot of the criticism. Very little understanding. I’m sure we will see many good ideas from community members, artists and builders as the project grows. Also, gmarfa

It was always clear that in the end the machines would be the major user of crypto. A few more years and we are there
MAYBE I WAS WRONG ABOUT BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY I wrote about how I always used to make fun of the guys who said things like "Bitcoin is speculative, but the underlying blockchain technology is interesting." And now I think maybe they kinda had a point.

6529er is a memetic wizard. Beautiful site to enjoy and get inspired to create.
Awesome new website by @6529er showcasing all his work. I’d argue that 6529er is one of the most commercially successful yet least talked-about artists on the NFT timeline, when you consider both primary and secondary sales. 6529er.io
