Guilty as charged.
Any perfume recommendations? 😂
True story: a house party turned my friend into a perfume influencer.
By day she’s Head of Growth Korea at a crypto company. By night she hunts for perfumes that smell like a rusty nail soaking in a herbal bath inside an abandoned monastery.
She owns enough bottles to stock a small museum, so she invited 20 women from local group chats over for wine and some very strange sniffing. She named it “Sniff and wine,” which I still think is perfect.
I filmed the evening and posted a reel. My videos usually top out at 300 views on a good day. This one hit nearly 400k.
A month later she’s a VIP guest at one of Asia’s leading perfume fairs, brands are sending her gifts and collab requests keep landing in her inbox. I’m only mildly jealous.
Now we’re turning it into a proper event in Seoul. Stay tuned, the announcement is coming soon.
one more thing that even fewer people know
every badge costs the project $50 a month
50 ambassadors with badges = $30k a year
that's why most teams are very selective
and prioritize ppl that constantly support a project

Where do prediction markets go next?
@OurielOhayon of @ZenGo says people turn to their wallet first. @cjhtech of @trylimitless sees the endgame in institutions transferring risk.

Institutional risk transfer is stuck in the 20th century
Institutions have billions exposed through investments and loans
Yet Wall Street can't even provide liquid default hedges for most private companies
Institutional risk transfer is the endgame for prediction markets 🇺🇸

THE BLOCK: Japanese yen stablecoin issuer JPYC has partnered with SBJ Bank and LINE NEXT to explore a stablecoin top-up service linked to bank accounts.
The three companies will conduct a proof of concept to test the integration of bank accounts, digital wallets, and stablecoin issuance and redemption.

One thing no one tells you about hitting 30, is that you can randomly get an ER visit instead of gym session (even tho you worked out for years lol).
Please take care of yourself and workout carefully.
Sleep well, stress less.

Today , Korea's financial regulators (FSC, FSS and FIU) jointly issued a consumer warning on perpetual futures traded on offshore platforms, noting that these products fall outside the protection of Korean law.
Highlighting the risks of high leverage is fair and necessary. Still, I find the overall direction disappointing.
This same year, the US has been moving toward bringing these products inside its regulatory framework:
- In May, the @CFTC approved the first Bitcoin perpetual on a US-regulated exchange, together with a policy statement on listing perpetual contracts and staff guidance on 24/7 trading and clearing.
- Since then, gold and silver perps, and this month a perp tracking 500 US large caps, have launched with CFTC approval.
- In September, the @SECGov held a public roundtable on 24-hour equity trading, as major US exchanges look to extend trading hours.
The common thread is clear: rather than keeping round-the-clock, continuous markets offshore, the US is building the rules to host them at home.
Meanwhile, perps tracking Korean equities are already trading actively on offshore venues, around the clock, including hours when the domestic market is closed. Demand for this kind of access exists whether or not it is available at home.
If investor protection is the goal, I believe the more effective long-term answer is a regulated domestic alternative: onshore products with clear rules, appropriate leverage limits, suitability checks, and infrastructure for extended-hours trading.
Korea needs a clear-eyed view of where global markets are heading, and should move quickly to turn that shift into an advantage for its own markets and investors.
Girl. No.
Just no.
If you’re doing business in Asia, there’s one culture you cannot avoid: KTV.
And no, I’m not talking about regular karaoke. I’m talking about private rooms where you and your clients drink, sing, and pay for girls (or guys) to keep you company.
China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand… different versions of the same thing. And if you can’t play along, you might find yourself left out of some pretty important business meetings. 🤷🏻♀️
If you didn’t grow up here, your first experience can be a real culture shock.
The mamasan walks in with a lineup, asks you to pick, and suddenly you’re sitting there with someone awkwardly, not knowing where to look or what to do.
I got dragged into a few of these KTV nights in Singapore last week, and here’s my little survival hack that has never failed:
Always pick the one who LOVES singing.
Seriously. Find the girl or guy who’s genuinely obsessed with the microphone.
They’ll happily sing all night. Duets with your business partners, solo performances, fighting for the mic… they’ll basically entertain themselves for hours.
Meanwhile, you don’t have to make small talk, flirt, or keep drinking with someone you barely know.
You fit right in, your business partner think you belong, your companion is having the time of their life, and you survive the entire night without a single awkward moment.
Everybody wins. You’re welcome.

I believe that when a market matures it stops being so shiny, but it definitely becomes more interesting.
At least for me.
it's been a year since 10/10
it feels like a lifetime. lots has changed in the market.
liquidity evaporation hit the alt market hard. attention shifted to regulated businesses and finance started to eat crypto.
there seems to be a lot less people onchain vs during Farcaster peak. my thesis is that new l2s launching brings new vc subsidized liquidity that feeds into memes and the same old ponzis. we don't have a lot of l2 launching now due to infra vc deploying grinded to a halt. Robinhood chain was a good example of running it back, but we used to have a new chain every week so the market was much more dynamic and exciting
notably, past 2 big l2 launches have been corporate (Robinhood and Circle vs venture backed startups). which is another example of regulated entities joining the onchain space.
just because regulated markets are easier to access for consumers in the us today, a lot of excitement is dwindling. but the opportunity for onchain is exporting unified financial services to the world

How is my OOO going:
- 1,5 gas tanks in

- Nearly died like 7 times
- Views are insane tho (God I love Korea)
- Got fed custard fish by a crew at one of the bike cafes
- Apparently need new pants (and possibly jacket)
