Hey everyone! I don't use Twitter much these days but since I've done a small amount new model work in recent months, I thought it would be nice to make a dedicated account to share my work!

Just like at our show in Barrie two months ago, I also designed and wrote the copy for the informational signs we put around the layout. I love writing the descriptions for all of the characters!
Here’s a sample of some of my favourites.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our display at this year's Great British Train Show! I had an absolute blast; I'm so proud of our team and how smoothly everything went together this time around. Looking forward to the next one!

Please excuse the drastic change in weather between these photos — I built these across a few months.
I’ve actually been in Ontario for the last couple days working on the layout for Great British Train Show 2026 with Rob and Parker.
I can’t wait to display this weekend!
Had such an amazing time putting on a Thomas display at the Barrie-Allandale Model Train Show with @wrreviews, @Andy_Sandy3, @ChurchillModels and @wilburpyt! It was great fun bringing Percy, Terence and Skarloey and incorporating them into the winter theme
Since people are talking about BOT again (firstly, thank you guys so much) I thought I'd share some more face designs I came up with. These were mostly made for internal purposes and weren't part of our pitch to Mattel. This is what they would've looked like though
Final thoughts
I'm intrigued by this new direction, but I don't have faith that it will do well. The 2D reboot alienated their consumer base; they had the chance to course correct to what their consumers want, at least back to the CGI designs, but they blew it. I think it's over
One of the many exciting Thomas things happening for the 80th this year has been the sudden shift in the direction for the toys. A lot of people have been fairly wondering what happened, and hopefully this “rejected” pitch that I presented to Mattel may provide some insight…

So what about the future? Although we’re not officially pursuing this pitch anymore, it was a fun exercise and we may revisit it on our own time as a hobby. Of course, if Mattel is interested in our work they are always welcome to contact us as we have more where this came from!
