We are more than cogs in a machine. We are more than tools that can be replaced. Dammit, we are more than a $7000 slap on the wrist.

When a company like Amazon, worth over $1.5 trillion, owned by a man worth over $170 billion, gets fined just $7,000 after its unsafe working conditions led to the death of a 20-year-old worker, it's obvious that we must strengthen our woefully inadequate health and safety laws.

Our very own Red Farmer knew the value of learning a skilled trade through an #apprenticeship. Throughout your time in the program, you’re able to gain skills and qualifications for long-term employment while still earning decent wages and benefits to support yourself. #IBEW

We repeat… 🗣️🗣️🗣️ “Union busting is the lowest form of human activity!”
Damon Silvers (@DamonSilvers) profile pictureDamon Silvers@DamonSilvers3 Nov 2023
Union busting is about fear and tearing people down, telling working people they are worthless that everything they have is a gift from their overlords. Union busting is the lowest form of human activity and it's practitioners are the enemies of democracy.
