My first paper today! "Data analysis of millions of Type IIB flux vacua" (Yuta Hamada, Yuma Uematsu, Masahito Yamazaki) arxiv.org/abs/2610.30273

Data analysis of millions of Type IIB flux vacua

We study the vacuum structure of flux compactifications of type IIB string theory on the degree 18 hypersurface in $\mathbb{CP}^4_{1,1,1,6,9}$ with two effective complex structure moduli. We scan...

My new paper, this time in hep-th! “Surface defects on lens space and transfer matrices” (Kazunobu Maruyoshi, Toshihiro Ota, Masahito Yamazaki) arxiv.org/abs/2610.28165

Surface defects on lens space and transfer matrices

We study surface defects in four-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ theories of class $\mathcal{S}$ and $\mathcal{N}=1$ theories of class $\mathcal{S}_k$ placed on $L(r,1)\times S^1$. The lens space...

Our nearest station at JAXA ISAS is Fuchinobe on the JR Yokohama Line. Visit and you might think a mission to Phobos is launching! 🚀😉 With support from Sagamihara City, launch posters line the stairs, and a large MMX signboard arrives 10.14! #MMXLIFTOFF is 10.20!
Launch posters for MMX run across the wall above the ticket barrier to Fuchinobe station.

Launch posters are also pinned at regular intervals along the stairs! These ones have a black background.
