Truly we have many heroes in this space.
I wanted to check-in as an update to this post I’ve quoted. I WAS ready to just quit. Nuke all of my bags & cash-in my chips.
Some of you stepped in & that has truly meant everything to me. You’ll be happy to know I’m steering clear of certain speculation.
As I write this though I’m REALLY upset again although this time it isn’t over my bags necessarily.. But over my “disability status”.
Now I’m not the best at pattern recognition but I can recognize when I’m feeding the wrong wolf. (no this isn’t $PACK coded)
I’d been meaning to check-in on my appeal with social security. You see the government is no longer declaring me as a disabled person. The crazy thing is that I’m currently seeing physical therapy & I know I need more help in order to start wielding my prosthetic. I’m nervous about even putting it on from my vertebral artery dissection diagnosis last year.
Anyway, social security has no record of my appeal & I didn’t take photos of the paperwork. I had gone in-person. Thought it would be more efficient to go to the local office. It really got to me & I went down there VERY upset. Luckily I didn’t go crazy but I definitely acted out. Caught some friend for sure…
So I’ve got some more paperwork to do (only this time I’m doing it online) & also many of you to thank that I’m still here on CT. I’m working to be a creative of sorts in the space. I told someone about this work today & they said, “Are you going to try to become an influencer?”
I suppose I am. Today I’m influencing mindfulness & self-care. Be thankful for those around you that take care of you.
I’m grateful to all of you that I get to show up & that y’all see me. I’m going through some things right now but I’ll get through it. Anyway thanks for listening. Hopefully my next update is less dramatic.

instead of trying to avoid every failure, vcs structure their investments knowing that a few massive winners can cover the losses of many unsuccessful bets.
a venture capitalist might invest in 20 companies and see 15 of them fail, 4 make decent returns and 1 become a billion dollar company. that one investment can generate enough profit to make the entire portfolio successful. this is why they focus less on being right every time and more on finding companies with the potential to create extraordinary returns.
i run a private hedge fund, i know how these things work. in venture capital, one huge success can outweigh years of failure. learn something 👍
