✨ KDE runs on the Apple M2!!!! ✨ With full GPU acceleration! 🚀🚀 Running Xonotic, glmark2, and eglgears at the same time!! My 🦀 Linux kernel driver now supports the M2!! And it works out of the box with Alyssa's Mesa driver, no userspace changes needed~!!

As you probably read a lot about decisions that you think are kind of shitty done because... shareholders, I'll just mention that Igalia has none, nor a CEO. We all receive equal pay. We are a co-op. And yes, we're hiring.

I've seen a lot of people asking "why does everyone think Twitter is doomed?" As an SRE and sysadmin with 10+ years of industry experience, I wanted to write up a few scenarios that are real threats to the integrity of the bird site over the coming weeks.

Hundreds upon hundreds of Twitter employees have technically resigned but still have access to Twitter’s internal systems, with some speculating it is because the employees tasked with managing that access also resigned.

#1 committers to Chromium after Google. #1 committers to WebKit after Apple. There is a lot of hard work, sometimes invisible hard work, of many people behind that.

I spent HOURS going through my schematics, device tree, and measuring test points, trying to understand why the fuel gauge reports the LiPo being present even when it's not connected. Meanwhile, the kernel driver:

ALT function that's hardcoded to return 1

Eli Lilly stock isn't just tanking because of a satirical Tweet on Musk's hellscape, it's tanking because millions of people are asking why we have to pay for insulin, when it was made to be free. That's why other insulin stocks are falling too. Happy Disability Awareness Month

My @igalia colleague Danylo has written a super-interesting blog post about debugging unrecoverable GPU hangs using breadcrumbs, with an example applied to Turnip, the @VulkanAPI #Mesa3D driver for Adreno GPUs. Check it out! blogs.igalia.com/dpiliaiev/d…

With Twitter's change in ownership last week, I'm probably in the clear to talk about the most unethical thing I was asked to build while working at Twitter. 🧵
