Late stage capitalism:
A supermarket throws perfectly good food in the dumpster, pays its workers so little they can barely afford groceries, then asks customers to donate to the food bank at checkout.
And we're supposed to admire how fucking efficient this system is.

Democrat Scott Colom is leading in Forrest County, Mississippi — a county named after Nathan Bedford Forrest, the Confederate general and first leader of the Ku Klux Klan. Today, that same county is voting for a Black Democrat. Votes are still being counted, but I can’t help but smile. This is what progress looks like. The South is changing, and no name on a county line can stop it. ✊🏿

“Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything."

It's crazy that the amount of money spent during election cycles could literally fix most of the fucking problems politicians campaign on.

Sadly, this distorted conversation about my campaign overlooks the gallant work of the courageous and compassionate everyday citizens who contributed to it, both financially and personally. We ran an anti-fascist campaign against Trump while simultaneously running an anti-genocide and anti-poverty campaign against Biden and Harris — based on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and Fannie Lou Hamer!” #TruthJusticeLove

Should schools bring back home economics classes where students learn cooking, sewing, and budgeting?

Maybe i am too woke but I'm actually glad birth rates are declining.
Not because children are a burden, but because more people are finally realising they're not fit to be parents and that's a far kinder decision than bringing a child into a life they're not prepared for.

When I said that we don’t want our kids around their kids because parents aren’t raising their children, I was told that how people choose to raise their children has nothing to do with me. But we can clearly see that it does. Raising monsters and then unleashing them onto society.

My daughter works full time here in Texas. Let me run her numbers.
State minimum wage is $7.25. She's making $16.
Forty hours a week equals $640 weekly.
That’s roughly $2,700 a month before taxes.
Texas has no state income tax—the thing they sell you on. So after federal and FICA she takes home roughly $2,300.
Average one-bedroom in our city runs about $1,550.
That’s 67% of her entire paycheck gone to rent before she eats a single meal.
Leaves her around $750 a month for:
- groceries
- gas
- car insurance
- health insurance
- phone
- emergencies
- savings
Car insurance alone eats a huge chunk of that in this state.
She works 40 hours a week and cannot save a dollar. Not because she's careless because there's nothing left to be careless with.
I spent thirty years paying off a house here. She's doing the same job I did at her age and she can't afford a basic apartment.
That's not a discipline problem. That's not avocado toast.
The floor moved and nobody lowered the ceiling.
Working full time should cover a roof. In Texas it barely covers the rent on one.

Individuality:
"We are great believers in individuality, even as black people. "You do your thing, and I do mine." Nonsense, pure nonsense, when you think about it.
The whole concept of individuality is an empty term, but it sounds good. So, you create individuality to blind people to collective responsibility. Consequently, once you believe the myth of individuality, when you destroy yourself - which is the result of a deliberate inculcation of self-hatred - you will have only yourself to blame.
Then, when our children grow up and they see the kind of conditions under which we live, and they observe a lot of the self-destructive behavior we engage in, they infer a correlation. They correlate blackness with self-destructive behavior, perceive it as the cause of such behavior.
If they receive the appropriate education so that they can understand the nature of the creation of our people, then this will become a part of their own self-attitude. They will not become self-hating."
Dr. Amos Wilson, "The Psychology of Self-Hatred and Self-Defeat"

DL Hughley: “77M of those people who voted for Trump, for them racism isn’t a disqualifier. Pedophilia isn’t a disqualifier. Rape isn’t a disqualifier. Fraud isn’t a disqualifier. Even if they’re not all racists, all of them have this belief that things are better run if white people are in charge. If your moral code is that off, I have a certain disdain for you”
