【世界にたった1枚】約4,237万円で落札された遊戯王カード。
でも、このカードが生まれた理由を知ると、金額以上に驚く。
2005年、難病と闘っていた14歳の少年タイラー君。
彼の願いは、お金でもゲームでもなく…
「自分だけの遊戯王カードを作りたい」
その願いを叶えるため、Make-A-Wishと関係企業が協力。
さらに、遊戯王の生みの親・高橋和希先生が、少年の描いたデザインをもとにカードのイラストを制作した。
こうして誕生したのが、
『偉大なる戦士タイラー』
世界にたった1枚の公式カード。
その後、少年は病気を克服。
約18年後の2023年、本人が新しい人生のためにカードをオークションへ出品。
結果は、311,211ドル。
当時の日本円で約4,237万円。
しかも驚くことに、鑑定評価は最高の10ではなく「BGS7」。
カードの価値は、状態や希少性だけで決まるわけじゃない。
そこに刻まれた物語も、価値になる。
