Living in the Karoo of South Africa is living inside a history lesson. Here you see the toil, ingenuity, and perseverance of the people who, over centuries, built a self sustaining paradise out of the desert. Hundreds of kilometers of hand carved canals bring water from far away in the mountains into farming hamlets and villages allowing thriving production of fruits, vegetables, tobacco, wheat, and so many other crops. Here you see the earliest homes built from stacked rocks and then later of mud and manure and eventually bricks and mortar. Cathedrals rise in glades, valleys and hilltops, and small towns dotted across the landscape tell of long wagon and horse rides along 100s of miles of hand hewn roads through mountain passes and over high ranges. I love it and it must be preserved as a living legacy and a reminder of how from nothing a civilization was built.

Wrote this some years ago describing how we dealt with South Africa when I was in the US Foreign Service. It was pathetic. South Africa. Complicated place with a complicated history which few outside of the Boers and the Zulus seem to understand or appreciate. When I was at the UN in the 1980's I had to deal with the South African "Issue." Israel and South Africa, of course, were the greatest evils facing mankind, and the UN spared no effort to crush them both. I would, on occasion meet, quite discreetly, the harried and tired-looking South African diplomats assigned to New York and Geneva. I remember their Mission in NY had no identifying flag or symbol; you knew you were entering South African property only because the door handle read "Trek." A giveaway, that. The British, Israelis, and we were about the only ones who argued for a more moderate treatment of South Africa. In the end, of course, our policy likely would have produced the same thing that eventually happened, to wit, the death of Africa's richest and most productive country. In dealing with South Africa back then, we viewed it as some sort of replay of our own civil rights struggle and fight against Jim Crow. That, of course, was nonsense, but few of us had the knowledge or courage to say so. The Boers, especially, had about as much claim to South Africa as did the Zulus. Both were conquering tribes. Traditional enemies of the British, the Boers and the Zulus, in fact, had reached a sort of accommodation and seemed tacitly united against the massive influx of outsiders that finally did alter irrevocably the demographics of South Africa. Immigration did the place in. Yes, evil South Africa under the evil Boers was a net recipient of immigrants and refugees, almost all black and Asian from other parts of Africa. For a time, of course, big business such as in the diamond, gold, and agricultural sectors welcomed these migrants as a source of cheap labor. Well, as we can see at home and in Europe, cheap labor can get very expensive very quickly especially once it gets politicized by "progressive" forces. So, evil apartheid was destroyed; Mandela and his ANC took power, and--Surprise!--South Africa has become a hellish place for everybody, black, white, Zulu, Boer, Anglo, Asian, etc. We now see the South African parliament declaring that white-owned property (about ¾'s of the most productive agricultural land) can and should be seized without compensation, in the style of Zimbabwe. We have prominent South African politicians calling for the murder of whites. The world reaction seems, to say the least, muted. I see no calls for a meeting of the UNSC, or emergency human rights meetings in NY or Geneva. Silence in the face of genocide. White Lives Don't Matter!

The Dominican Republic has re-initiated a crackdown on Haitian invaders in their nation. They've stated their goal is to forcibly remove 10,000 Haitians per week while the operation is ongoing and they haven't announced an end date. Of course, the NGO orgs like Amnesty International have called this operation "racist" 🤡 For reference, since President Trump has taken office, America is averaging roughly 13k deportations per week. Encourage our government to bump those rookie numbers up accordingly..... 📈 #hispaniola #invasion #functioning #DominicanRepublic #haiti #invasion #ICE #borders #CivilRights #police #bye #voodoo #GreaterAntilles #standards

To understand why Western leaders all sound the same, you need to understand how a system that has captured its own institutions keeps producing elites aligned on the worst possible line. In 2004, Klaus Schwab created the Forum of Young Global Leaders. Every year, the WEF selects a few hundred people under 40. You don't apply. You get nominated by people already inside and vetted by people already inside. Then come the annual summits, Davos, and a two-week executive program at Harvard Kennedy School built around global governance, climate, global health and "21st century leadership." Emmanuel Macron: class of 2016, the same year he launched his presidential campaign. Gabriel Attal: listed by the WEF itself among its notable members. In 2017, at Harvard, Schwab bragged that his network "penetrates the cabinets" of governments. His words, not mine. Now here's the mistake most critics make. They imagine a brainwashing camp. Two weeks at Harvard don't rewire anyone. The YGL program doesn't create the mindset. It certifies it. The capture happened upstream. The formatting starts at 18. Sciences Po, ENA, Harvard, Columbia, Yale Law. Ten years of being graded by people who already hold the consensus. You learn fast that the reward doesn't go to whoever is right, but to whoever restates the room's beliefs most elegantly. Every essay, every oral exam, every internship in a ministry or a consulting firm teaches the same lesson: the frame is given, your job is to optimize inside it. Obama never went through YGL. He didn't need to. Columbia, Harvard Law, president of the Law Review. Same factory, American edition. So by the time the WEF calls, the product is finished. The program just adds the final layer: flattery. You're told you're one of the few people under 40 who will shape the world. You spend your summers with ministers, CEOs, royals and Nobel laureates who all agree with each other. Imagine what that does to a 35-year-old ego. That's the profile it produces. Very high verbal intelligence, very low dissent. Brilliant at defending the frame, never trained to question it. And a narcissism fed by a network that confirms, year after year, that you belong to the elect. Combine the two and you get leaders who are never punished for being wrong, as long as they're wrong together. Immigration is the perfect test case. Obama, Macron, Attal can tighten a law, announce deportation numbers, harden their tone before an election. Obama deported more people than any president before him. But listen to how they talk about it. For them, immigration is never a civilizational question. It's a flow to manage, a labor shortage to fill, a demographic curve to correct, a moral duty to perform. Whether a nation has the right to remain itself never even enters the frame. Not because they've answered the question. Because their education taught them it isn't a legitimate one. That's why the voter who says "my town has changed and I'm worried" gets a lecture instead of an answer. The leader isn't even lying to him. It's worse: he genuinely cannot see what the voter sees. Twenty years of formatting taught him that this perception is a bias to correct, not a reality to address. That's the real problem with captured institutions. Not a secret plot. A monoculture. Same schools, same summits, same Davos panels, same vocabulary from Paris to Ottawa to Washington. When every leader is selected by the consensus and rewarded by the consensus, the consensus stops being tested against reality. And a ruling class that never gets confronted with reality ends up governing a country that only exists in its own slide decks. Before you vote, ask one question about every candidate: who formatted them, and who do they still need to impress?

An oldie but a goodie. In 1968 a bunch of entitled hippy bastards sent a letter detailing their specious demands to the Warden and Fellows of Wadham College, Oxford. This was their letter of reply, which speaks to how far the academy has since fallen.

Driving to work in Dublin, I saw two carers crossing the road with three children with mental disabilities. None of the three were native Irish. Now, I want to help people who are disabled (especially kids), but if we can't have an adult conversation about what is and isn't economically feasible, then we are merely hoping for a future and not planning for one. If we are seen as a country that will care for everyone in the world, there is no limit to what we will be expected to give. Would you feed the homeless and let your own children starve? In a way, isn't that what we're doing by paying for migrants while native children can't afford to live in Ireland and have their own families? I'm tired of "moral" people accusing realists of being hateful for living in reality.

Bill Maher nails it on Britain’s welfare addiction here. “The UK has had seven Prime Ministers in ten years. That’s because no politician can be what the people want: a genius who figures out how to give out endlessly more money with ever less working people.”

This deserted street is at the center of Boston University, which is supposed to have about 40 thousand students. Most are nowhere to be found. The students you do see all look completely miserable. Everyone is foreign- not just in origin but in the world they inhabit. Virtually, she is far away- China, Valhalla, the moon, It wouldn’t matter. it’s not the phone that transports her, it’s her head that’s in the clouds. And she is all of us. Decades ago, this part of campus had the best parties. Now, unfriendly strivers in fantasy worlds. A Tower of Babel, and the split is more than superficially linguistic

Mr Weinstein, we hate indians for a reason. I travelled to india with the intent of staying for a year; traveling from Kerala and leaving by bus across the border into Kathmandu. I had to leave after two weeks. The daily scams (even from managers of reputable hotels), card cloning, harassment by izzat-hunting Indians for selfies, indians washing their asses in the ocean in weird rituals, terrible advice for destinations, shards of glass, trash and piles of poo in the sand, and an ocean that burned the flesh. Every conversation ending in how much money I was worth, the putrid and indescribable stench, the mountains of trash (that natives would allow their pigs and goats out to eat in the afternoon). Goddamn disease-ridden cows walking around for no reason at all and their cow dung to step in. The fact that the first conversation over dinner with two girls from Mumbai the topic of conversation was about how they were both raped by their uncles as children and neither knew a girl in india who hadn't been molested by a relative. I could go on, and on and on. I flew straight to Ko Samui from Goa (a total shithole) and never looked back. The mere fact that Thai immigration officials rounded up every stinkin' indian on our inbound flight when we arrived but let all the White people straight through is evidence of their reputation and was my only consolation. Anyone who has seen what india is knows true insanity is ever letting a single indian leave that anus of the Earth. Because I'm telling you now, indians are a diarrhea being splattered all over our nations and if we let it continue... We'll all end up covered in shit.
Seeing a lot of growing raw hatred against India, Indians, Hindus, Indian-Americans, etc. for no reason. Would be happy to have anyone who feels that hatred quietly unfollow me. Simple. Clean. Thanks in advance.

I have a foreigner from Venezuela (probably 35 years old) who bought the 10 acre field next to mine (for $240,000) He started a concrete company and requests payment in cash. His wife started a tax service and he is her “customer”. He speaks very little English. His wife and crew speak no English. He drives a brand new F-350 dually and is building what looks like a 3,000 sq ft home on his $240,000 lot. Imagine that. You drop yourself into a country totally foreign to you. You have whatever money you scraped together before leaving your 3rd world shithole. You don’t speak the language and know only the other foreigners from your clan who arrived before you. You want to start a business? That requires capital, advertising, business licensing, employees, a reputation. You cannot tell me these people are doing this without serious help: preferred loans, grants, subsidies, tax avoidance. I’ve started 3 businesses. One thing I’ll tell you is it has been like pulling teeth over the years getting a loan for ANYTHING when you own a small business, unless you have YEARS of solid tax returns to show. But this guy someone got financed for raw land, plus a construction loan, probably $750,000 in total? And it’s not just him. It seems like every brand new truck at the gas station is being driven by a foreigner with no English. This is not envy. We are very clearly being invaded and someone is helping the enemy army with my tax dollars. 2 years ago I lost a very lucrative contract to a crew of Hispanic foreigners who we outperformed by every metric (including pricing), all because the customer’s management was also Hispanic foreigners. But we’ve all held our nose because we were told they were all going home. What a crock of bullshit that was. So yeah people are about to snap, and when they do it’s going to be biblical.
Just FYI as someone who works in consumer tech and sees a whole lot of conversations online daily: people are starting to snap. Between the price of everything and being surrounded by these foreigners who don't belong here who are somehow better off than our own people who are struggling and the politicians who are enriching themselves and kissing Israel's ass on TV all day people have had enough. It's a pressure cooker out there.
