Ada is a Ruqah Arabic & Latin superfamily. My role was to write OpenType code for Pascal’s Ruqah, and make a matching Latin that looks just as simple, conventional, and modern.

It’s been a great fun designing the Latin style that shares similar features with Ruqah. I wanted the Latin’s features to match Ruqah’s while maintaining the sense of authenticity. My solution was a semi-cursive humanist hand that leans to the left. (Pardon the crude drawing)
